Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 9Great hotel, perfect location
This hotel was very nice, friendly staff, and perfect location. The surrounding area is upscale with lots to see and do, very close to the London underground station to get into London, or you can walk to it all like we did! Recommend the breakfast room rate, it was a delicous breakfast, good way to start the day!

Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 9Disappointing
The hotel is okay overall but our stay was a letdown. We checked in early, unpacked, and spent the day out sightseeing. After a very long, exhausting day of walking around London I just wanted to relax in a hot bath. As I was running the bath (in a tub with jets!) I noticed the toilet was clogged and inoperable. Long story short, we had to change rooms which, while not really a big deal, was quite annoying since we had to repack everything and lug it to another room on another floor. And then to add to the disappointment the tub had no jets, there was no balcony or bathrobes (as there had been in the original room). So, it was a bit of a bummer to then be charged for the one soda we drank from the original room's minibar. The hotel could have been more accomodating and apologetic for the hassle.

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 9Excellent Location & Hotel
Great upscale location in South Kensington. Convenient and safe area. Wonderful buffet (incl) breakfast. Most staff were very friendly and helpful. The concierge on our first day/nite seemed put off with our questions and he responded shortly and with minimal information. However, all other staff accomodating and pleasant. We booked a double bed type room but appeared to have gotten a king size type bed/room which was a nice surprise. The restaurant, lobby, bar, and common areas were very modern, classy and comfortable. We would stay there again, and plan to on our next visit.

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 9Did not meet my expectations for the price
The location and the service were great. The breakfast was good, but the bed was horribly uncomfortable and sagging. The night tables were so close to either side of the bed we kept banging our elbows against them. The bathroom floor was dangerously slippery when wet plus the bathroom door was badly designed. You couldn't close or open the door with ease while inside. To get cable and internet it was an extra 20 pounds per day (40 USD, Ouch!). Don't bother getting a massage at the spa. The session was only 50 minutes and mediocre.

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 9Really nice hotel
Nice clean hotel. The help was outstanding. Breakfast was included, which was really nice considering how expensive London was. The only thing I was disappointed in was that you had to pay extra if you wanted to use the swimming pool. The best thing was having a Jacuzzi tub to soak in after a day of sightseeing.
