Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 11They need to fix the fire alarm system
Three times during our stay, the fire alarm went off accidentally, once at 12:30 in the morning. By the third time we did not even look out the door to see if there was smoke. Otherwise it was an enjoyable despite the interrupted sleep.

Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 11Lovely Hotel
Our only complaint was that we were unable to get a good recommendation for a restaurant from the hotel staff. They were out of touch re: where to eat. First recommendation was almost inedible. Second restaurant suggested very highly was actually closed down for what appears to be a very long time.

Nice room and walking distance to Harrods/Knightsbridge. Very close to the Kennsington underground stop. Friendly/helpful staff.

Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 11You get what you pay for
We recently stayed at The Rembrandt for a six day business trip. The expreience was a mixed bag but all in all you get what you pay for. The Room We booked two Executive King Rooms. However, the two rooms were drastically different in appearance and size. One room had a full couch and sitting area. The other was half the size with two chairs crammed between the wall and the bed. All rooms are lit by energy saving, mind numbing florescent bulbs that flicker. Free Hi Speed Internet was a true plus as other hotels charge fees. The bathrooms are strangely large for such small rooms. The rooms have mini versions of everything you would want from bar to ironing board. The Noise Both rooms had scaffolding and construction just outside. As the rooms were on the first floor, the men working were constantly just outside my window. Thus, I kept the blinds drawn at all times. After five days, it was a bit suffocating. Besides hammering, the rooms were very quit. The Staff When I brought the room size discrepancy up with the hotel staff, they curtly informed me that they could do nothing for me. Otherwise, they were transparent. There is no doorman or lobby staff other than reception. The Amenities The hotel bar is large and very nice. The included breakfast is a passable version of a full English Breakfast served buffet style. There is a nice health club next door to the hotel that allows usage for a minimal per-day fee. They have a very nice recreational pool and hot tub. The Neighborhood This is the true perk. South Kensington is beautiful. The hotel is directly across from a stretch of stately museums. There is a very nice Italian Cafe a few doors down that serves an excellent Latte. You can walk to Knightsbridge, Belgravia, and Hyde Park with ease. If your ambitious you can walk to Olympia, SOHO, Westminster and various other Thames destinations. Otherwise, taxis are an arms length away and South Kensington metro station is three blocks away. Groceries, Pubs and Indian food
