Smoke Free Rooms

The hotel did not have enough smoke free rooms and I had to stay in a smoke room which was smelled bad of smoke. Had no choice to get a smoke free room even though I got there very close to the check in time. When I left in the morning at 7:30am the parking garage was about 20 percent full.

Great location

I had a 2 day conference at the convention center. Walking distance from the convention center and shopping centers is a huge plus!! Beautiful ocean view from the window!! Great location!!!!

Typical Casino Hotel

Most of the boardwalk casino hotels are just average and Trump Plaza is one of them. The location is convenient but the area around it isn't very pedestrian friendly, especially at night. The rooms are ok, small and cramped and in need of an update, mainly the bathrooms. The internet surcharge is overpriced, especially when you can go to Starbucks in the lobby and get access for free. Breakfast was included in my room cost but wasn't worth the cost if I had to purchase it. The "standard" breakfast was something you would expect in a buffet, mass produced and kept warm. Overall it was a good value for the price but the key here is you get what you pay for.

The Food

The food served in the rstaurants at the hotel was very poor. Other than that the staff was helpful and pleasant and the room okay.

Great room, poor location

I stayed here for a conference one night. The room itself is very clean and quite large but the surrounding area is filthy and there is not much to do in this hotel. I had to go to different hotels to meet friends or to eat out.

while traveling on business one would expect to have available internet at no cost, but here you had to pay extra just to log in. It is and feels like a casino hotel.

Room Dirty

I was so excited to stay at the Trump Plaza Hotel. Everything was normal and I got checked into my room. I went out to meet people I was with for dinner and gambling. Later that night when I went back to my room to retire after a long day, I went into the bathroom and noticed there was some mold around the tub and some grout coming loose in the floor then I noticed about 20 hairs left on the bathroom floor that were not cleaned up before my arrival. Then I noticed the dust around the edges of the floor all around the room and under the desk (not vucummed for sometime). I was so tired I just showered and got into bed. It was comfortable and the sheets were clean but the comforter had a tear in it right on top and when I got into the bed the velour blanket had something on it (not washed). It was not really visible but I could feel it on the blanket. I do not know what it was. Then in the morning when I crawled under the desk to plug in the coffee maker I got an allergy attack from the dust under there.

Needs investment

This is one of the oldest casino/hotels in Atlantic City. It is run down. It reminds me of the Imperial Palace in Vegas a few years back before any work was done.

A real bargain

Definitely a very good room for the money. Staff was always courteous and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with fresh, fresh fruit and worth the money.

Average

The rooms are outdated and run down, but relatively clean and comfortable. Average at best. On the plus side, the bartenders at Liquid are great!

Friendly and affordable

i've stayed in a few other hotels in Atlantic City in the past, and this by far was my favorite. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room rate was very reasonable. (even cheaper then some of the lesser quality places I've stayed) I would definitely recommend this hotel to others!

decent for the price

Overall hotel and casino were of good or better condition. The room itself was less than luxurious-the carpeting and bed linens were of a shabby quality. If you don't spend much time in the room, it's adequate for sleeping purposes only. The location is great as far as safety and covenience, walking to the outlet stores/convention center.
