Easy access, good crash pad, but dont expect luxuries

This was my 2nd stay at Springhill. It is a apartment complex with some units avalible for nightly, weekly, or monthly rentals. The room I stayed in this time was a little smaller than the last time I stayed here, but it was in better condition, though there was a musty smell to the room. Close to shopping and the freeway, but it's in Taylorsville, so if you have buisness downtown, you may want to look elsewhere, as traffic going downtown can suck. But it would be a good base for a week of skiing if you dont mind driving a little. Dont plan on cooking much in the full kitchen as the oven didnt work. Wish I would have know it before I bought a frozen pizza.

Pleasant stay

We were very pleased with our room at the Springhill Suites. It's actually a converted apt, newly remodeled with all new flooring,carpet,countertops, blinds and new furniture. New kitchen appliances and a very nice queen bed and thick, plush towels made our stay pleasant. Located within walking distance to a lot of restaurants, shops, WalMart. Good since we didn't have a rental car. Staff was helpful and willing to assist in any way.

Not really a hotel

I would consider this an extended stay apartment. I stayed two days and did not have my room cleaned. I was on the first floor and it sounded like I had a very active family living upstairs. I think this is more of a pay as you go apartment as opposed to a hotel.

Needs Desperate improvement

My first impression of a hotel is presentation and smell. Both were very dissapointing upon first entry and maintained a dissatisfactory level all week. My main point of contention was the manor in which this hotel does not offer maid service unless you are there over 7 days. They really expecte a traveling business person to use the same sheets, towels etc for 5 to 6 days with no fresh linens? Very poor customer service. This will lead to the demise of the Hotel portion of this establishment.
