The hotel location was central for all of the city's attractions. Located on a busy street, but the neighborhood felt safe. Hotel check-in staff was not that helpful but the concierge was good.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 69Room needs major renovations
The hotel lobby was good but that's where it ends. The room was spacious but cold and dingy and didn't have light. The bed sheet covers and the comforter looked like they were purchased from salvation army. The sheets were rough, flimsy and uncomfortable. The heater does not go up more than 30 degree Celsius and it was cold all night in the middle of October. To their credit the bath room was OK and had modern looking sink.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 69Nice interior space
Although the exterior design of the building is not new, the lobby space, cafe, restaurant, and room were quite clean and well designed. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap in bathroom were all organic and came from spa in the hotel. The location was also good. You can walk to destination areas in downtown.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 69Good enough for what you pay for
The floor view was beautiful nice view of downtown off the balcony. The things that i was not happy about was the room was very small with 2 full size beds cramped in them and also the heater didnt even work! And it was very annyoning that i had to keep calling for extra towels and washcloths. One of the housekeepers when asked to bring 2 sets of towels up he didnt even bring face towels and told me he is busy! What sucks is the building is directly next door to a hospital! Ha good luck sleeping with all the albumlance trucks!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 6 of 69Great Place to Stay and Eat
My sister and I stayed at the Century while we visited my daughter. The location was great with convenient transportation options. The staff was friendly and helpful. My favorite part of the hotel was the restaurant. The food was great, the waiter was attentive and friendly without being overbearing, the atmosphere was comfortable. We tried several items, but our favorites were the surf and turf (steak with a fabulous sauce and crab cake that melts in your mouth), and the creme brulee.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 69Deceivingly Great Lobby
When you first arrive at the hotel, it is impressive--nice lobby, convenient restaurant, newly opened deli/cafe. After you left the lobby, the true nature of the hotel came through. The hotel is very dated. The rooms are okay, but old and tired looking. The water pressure on the shower was so strong that the floor got soaked every time, no matter how we tried to block the spray with the curtain. The hotel staff did not appear to really know the particulars about the transportation or the time it takes to get from one place to another. We were always told "it's a 15 or 20 minute walk" and, while we may be a little slower than some, we weren't 2 hours slower! We were sold a 2-day Big Bus Pass and told that we could use it all during the next two days and that we could get on, get off where we liked. That was a joke! The bus quit running in early evening and you could only get on or get off at pre-determined stops. The staff should have known the details if they were going to sell the tickets.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 69Overall a great hotel
The hotel had a very reasonable price for it's location in downtown Vancouver. Very close to many restaurants and pubs, and in an overall safe area of Vancover. Staff was very polite and helpful in giving directions to the BC Ferries, and in arranging an early morning cab ride to the airport.

Spacious room-great adjoining restaurant. Auto parking was an additional $15 per night.

Area is awesome, you can walk every where!!!! Location location location, made us forget how uncomfortable the beds were. We checked in a little late and they were still not done cleaning our room. They didnt finish the cleaning, they just left the room as it was. Also, we didnt get the type of room that we reserved. We will try some other hotel next time we go there.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 12 of 69Very nice
We booked a Executive King. It was a very nice place. We were on the 25th floor with great view. We got yummy breakfast coupons and our hotel is only 3 blocks from the Grandville street. Will try to stay here again next time

Trip Type: With Friends Review 14 of 69Great value
The room was a bit dated, but very roomy. We had a small kitchen and a spacious living room. The location was great for shopping and the hotel staff was very helpful and professional.

Lots of space in the suite. Far nicer than I expected for the price. Great location. Very friendly staff. Hotel Bar/Lounge was fun. Wish the room service menu was a bit more extensive. I would like to try some of the spa services next time. I will stay here again.
