Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 59Excellent Value For The Price
As other reviews have noted, the hotel rooms are showing their age to some extent--curtain didn't pull closed real well, some paint scuffing, etc. However, having said that--the room included a stove, microwave, refrigerator and cooking utensils, which we always find convenient for a nice breakfast. The room was large and clean, with a nice bathroom, and with only 8 or nine rooms on each floor there was little noise from other guests. The location is incredibly convenient to shopping on Robson, and Davie, and a quick walk to anywhere in downtown Vancouver. Internet access was available at an extra charge, but was free in the lobby--which was great for getting done what we needed and people watching. The hotel is an excellent value considering the price, location and amenities.

Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 59Very nice hotel
This was our 3rd stay at the Century Plaza and as always, the hotel was lovely and the hotel staff very friendly and helpful. I really like the new lobby remodel - very modern and trendy. The restaurant was nice and we enjoyed our breakfast although the server seemed like he was inexperienced. We were pleasantly surprised to have been upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite on the 19th floor since we had booked a regular room so we had a full kitchen, separate bedroom and living room. The rooms could use some updating as well but the view from the corner suite was beautiful! I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 59Fantastic service
From the moment we arrived prior to check-in time, until the bellmen were loading our luggage into a special taxi for the wheelchair to take us to the train station, the service in this hotel was outstanding. The rooms are a little run down, mostly due to age, but everything else was absolutely fantastic. The location of the hotel was very convenient. We walked or took the double-decker bus every place we wanted to go.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 59Great space horrendous bed
The pros: The living area, set up like a small urban apartment, is wonderful. You get a small kitchen complete with stove, full-size fridge and sink overlooking an actual living room with a big-screen TV. The view was another asset. Cons: I've had a better night's sleep while camping. The cheap mattress was rock-hard, and the pillows were thinner than folded bath towels and probably less comfortable. A hotel in this price range should do much better; pillows and mattresses aren't that expensive and make a big difference. The hotel was also dustier than I would expect.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 59great location
The hotel was well situated within walking distance to many sites. Our room was quite large although furnishings needed sprucing.

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 59Unexpected bonus
This was a really good hotel that we got a good rate. Plus, we got a mini kitchen that was unexpected and it was on the 14th floor with a wonderful view of the city. Very nice, overall.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 59Great price
We were in a double suite for our family and it was perfect. The room was very spacious and comfortable. I didn't expect that for the price that we were paying. Also, the location is money. We were four blocks from Granville street and about eight from Yaletown and three from downtown shopping center. I would definitely stay here the next time I come to Vancouver.

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 59toilet was leaking
Hotel lobby and counter looked renovated but not the rooms. Our room looked old, out-dated, the beds were unconfortable and the toilet was leaking water. We had to ask for a different room and they charged us to update for a better room because of the toilet leaking. Would never stay again.

Trip Type: Family Review 14 of 59I would stay again.
With the reduced rate via the web on our mini suite (queen bedroom & a pullout couch for our two kids)... I thought it was a great place to stay, it had a decent view from the balcony, was relatively close to Vancouver's major attractions (walking or using a cab), had a grocery store 1 block away and the staff went out of their way to help in any way possible. The only down side was the single wall mounted a/c unit in the living room only (we had unusually warm & sunny weather) made the bedroom a lil' hot @ night, but the room came w/ a large oscillating fan.
