Trip Type: Special Event Review 1 of 81Excellent Hotel
This hotel is in excellent condition with a very good location. I was able to walk to pretty much anywhere that I needed to go. The room was very nice and larger than I expected. My only complaint is that it is right next door to a hospital, so you tend to hear the emergency vehicles' sirens at night.

Worked well for us. Have been there before. The toilet flush handle broke in the evening. The desk man came up and said he couldn't fix it as the tools were "locked up". We told him that was unacceptable--what are we supposed to do? Soon there was a knock on the door and the repair person who just happened to be at the comic club in the hotel came up. Said the desk man found him and asked him to come. Lucky.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 3 of 81Great Location and Bang for your Buck!
My friend and I were visiting Vancouver BC for the very first time. I was very hesitant at first to book the Century Plaza Hotel based on the pricing per night. Most hotels from my city (San Francisco, CA) that are price this low are usually the dingy, low maintenance hotels. Nevertheless, I was on a budget and booked it. To my surprise, the hotel was outstanding! Lobby was nice and retro chic. Hotel room was pretty clean for a "boutique" hotel. The plus side to it was that it was big for it's size. The down side to it was that they really need to update the style to match that of the lobby. A tube TV?... retro but not up to standards. What I like most about this place was that it was central to everything! Robson St. is the best place to shop and it is only 2 blocks away from there. Actually, I never had to rent a car because it was close to EVERYTHING! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone on a budget visiting Vancouver. It exceeded my expectations for a low priced hotel.

the first 5 min when me and my friend parked in the hotel parking and dropped the bags in the rooms - we received a call from reception that our cars have been broken in. there was not much support from the stuff, nor curtsey at all. I was very frustrated because we had a big day the next day. Anyhow it appeared that this is close to a rehab... :) So keep that in mind. it is a good location but you have to be very conscious about your belongs cause no one will help you!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 6 of 81Great
Was very pleased with the hotel. Also liked the fact that it had some form of entertainment such as comedy club. The only down side was that the same comedy club act was back to back with the same program. It would have been nice if they changed the program with different jokes.

Good Location, Clean, Nice Lobby, but the room was okay. Very spacious. I would book here again.

It seemed that a lot of things were broken. Our phone would not work most of the time and the shower did not work well. The shower also kept flooding the bathroom since it was not working properly and the curtains were too short. Our friends in the room next door had to change rooms in the middle of the night since their couch bed would not pull out. The nicest thing about the hotel was the lobby.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 10 of 81Great Stay!
My husband, son and I had a very comfortable stay over 3 nights. We walked everywhere! A great location, great neighborhoods and room was very clean, beds were wonderful, quiet room even though we faced the street and there is a small hospital next door. Highly recommend. We'd stay here again.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 11 of 81Pricey, average, too far from the action
Rooms were decent sized, average cleanliness, no personality, costly - pick a hotel closer to Robson/Burrard for more shopping, ocean views, etc.
