Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 40It's getting there...
I recently stayed at the Century-Plaza Hotel while in Vancouver for a conference. The hotel staff (at all hours of the day) were friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed the in-house Beyond Coffee shop and free wireless in the lobby. The lobby has been recently renovated and gives off the feel of a boutique hotel. The guest rooms have not been updated, but a clean and well appointed. I appreciate the extra space of the suite-style. Despite being located next to a hospital, I was never disturbed by street noise. The location is easily walkable to the Robson Street shopping district, Davie Street, and the clubs on Granville. Since the hotel is located on a major thorough-fare of the city, you can easily catch buses to other parts of town as well. I highly recommend the Century-Plaza. I only wish I had gotten a chance to check out their spa services!

Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 40Great Hotel for the money
I got a very nice room on the 29th floor with breath-taking view of the Bay. The room was spacious and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the service was impeccable. If I had to be picky, I would say the furniture was a bit old, but overall the hotel was great. They did not serve breakfast, but they provided with coffee and tea maker, so I could give a good start kick to my mornings. Jus a caveat: what they call wireless internet service is actually a LAN connection.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 40great room for the money
First time I had an entire kitchen in my room: refrigerator, microwave, stove. I saved a lot on meals. Great value for the money.

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 40Business Travelers Beware!!!
We got a good deal on this hotel. I liked that it was a one bedroom with a full kitchen. The location was perfect for being in downtown and close to everything. What I did not like was the fact that when we arrived the whole hotel had no heat!!! Their solution was, "we can send up more blankets." I would think the solution might be, your night is free, their is hotel across the street and we have negotiated a fantastic rate for your stay over there, free spa treatment something. Alas nothing, until I spoke with the manager the next day...she took off our parking charge for the night. Thanks, that was worth freezing over. On to specifics. If you have business to do in this hotel, their wi-fi is awful, it goes in and out and most of the time you can't even connect, oh by the way...they charge for this amazing wi-fi. The room smelled, so we went out and got candles to at least take the smell away. They are doing a remodel on the rooms above the 26th floor. Unless they can guarantee that the wireless is updated as well, I would never stay there again. We didn't use the spa, but I did hear that was pretty good, and the restaurant has a pretty fantastic breakfast. Hope this helps.

Trip Type: Business Review 11 of 40Good choice for the location
The room was well appointed and clean, but the mattresses on both beds were hard and the pillows lumpy.

Trip Type: Business Review 12 of 40Great place to stay and reasonable in price.
Room arrangements in the hotel is very good with large window views on upper floors. Built well and is "quiet" from other rooms which is a big plus for me. The in-hotel resturant food is very good (must have a good cook). I would recommend it to anyone. Only minor issue is the HVAC system not totally balanced.

Trip Type: Business Review 14 of 40Century Plaza Hotel
This hotel is centrally located in walking distance to just about everything. The rooms are substandard. Lobby is very nice and hotel has alot of potential. Could be a GREAT hotel if they invested in updating the rooms and hallways.

Trip Type: Business Review 15 of 40Great location, really big rooms, price was right...
I was pleasantly surprised to see how large the room, or rather rooms, were. My room was a standard queen bed but I had a completely separate living room and kitchen. I wasn't there long enough to evaluate service, but the room itself was great and the location was good. The view from the room was also great. I was on the 14th floor and had a nice view of the city. The room was neat and clean. My only negative comment was that the hotel is beginning to show some wear -- the paint in the bathroom was chipping a bit and the hallway carpet showed stains.
