Fun Hotel, Stiff bed

The bed was like a rock. The room was a non-smoking room still stank of cigarettes. Besides that great room for the money we spent.

Great Room, restaurant and Bars

As always, we really enjoyed our stay at the Tropicana. Great price, nice/clean room, had a wonderful meal at Carmines and enjoyed drinks at various bars on the property.

Good place, good price, nice room...

Stayed here twice and both times the room was very clean and comfortable. The only minor issue is the location of the hotel on the boardwalk. It's not TOO far but a bit of a walk from the hotel to lets say the mall or outlets. Many cool little stores in the mall and just found out they have an IMAX theater in there too(unfortunately it only had 2 films showing, but still awesome movies). I'd recommend it as a decent place to stay if you are tight on cash.

Awesome deal but slightly less satisfactory on customer service

I am very satisfied with this hotel except for customer service. Three concerns that I have: 1. The valet wasn't exactly friendly when I said that we were only going to check in. He was friendly at the beginning when he thought we want his service. 2. The check-in took a while, at 11:30pm. I got the keys by 12:30pm. There were only two front desk receptionists, while there was a long queue of people. 3. When we called to order food in-room, the person who answered the phone sounded impatient and was just trying to be patient. When I wasn't able to hear him, I said, "I'm sorry. Could you repeat that please?" Then, he replied to me with a strong and annoyed tone. Do note that we had a water main break Saturday morning. The emergency was sounded through the PA system, and the security personnel were present and ready. I was impressed by this, especially that they have that emergency PA system. In addition, the security personnel was courteous enough to calm down customers and instructed us nicely to go back to our own rooms and not worry about it, eventually.

Great Stay

The Tropicana is a great value. The room was very spacious and clean with an amazing view of the ocean. It is right on the boardwalk and once we parked ($5 for entire stay), we were able to walk to all casino's and outlet mall. The only complaint was the difficulty getting to our room from the garage. We had to drag all of our luggage through the casino to get get our our tower elevator. Not an easy task with too much luggage. The parking is a bit confusing so make sure you remember the garage and level you are on. Whirlpool closes at 6 so that was kind of disappointing as it would have been refreshing after a long day of walking.

Worth the Money

Huge hotel you can get lost but it has everything you need if you don't mind walking around to find it. I will return just to finish looking around.

Horrible Service, Waste of Money, Ruined Our Trip

We asked for a non-smoking room. At check-in they said it was non-smoking and indeed the floor was non-smoking. However, our room stunk of smoke and made we want to barf. I immediately called the front desk. She said they would change our room. So we brought out belongings back to the front desk to wait in line for 20 minutes. When we finally got to speak to someone she is like I don't think we can change your room. The manager (Chris) came and said no we will disinfect it. So, we wasted 20 minutes and then waited another 15 minutes for the guy to come disinfect out room. No one showed up and we were starving. So, we go to eat and come back to find the room still with a horrible stinky smell. So, we call the front deak, speak to Chris and he is like someone disinfected the room is fine. So, he is like "I will come up to check this." He comes up and says yes the room does smell. (And of course no apologies for wasting our time and making us go through this or even letting us switch to another clean room. ) He uses the 2 way radio to ask for someone to disinfect the room. The guys sprays stuff over the carpet and leaves. That wasted another hour of our trip that was only a one night stay. Horrible service. They couldn't even give us a clean room. Stay away or see your trip ruined!

Great value for the money

Just stay around the boardwalk area and yu'll be fine...

The coffee in the room was terrible. And the prices for the buffet and such were way too high

Rooms could use Improvement

Could use some updating in the rooms (new bedspreads, tvs) and it would be absolutely fabulous. Lobby was beautiful. Restaurants were pricey but convenient. Casino was one of the nicest on the boardwalk. Good value for the price!

Outstanding Hotel

Our room was outstanding. We had a great view and it far exceeded our expectations!! Everyone at the Tropicana was very friendly and helpful.

Great Night at a Great Hotel

We stayed overnight at the Tropicana and had a wonderful time. The casino was great. There is plenty of shopping and fantastic restaurants. The room was clean and very comfortable. I would definitely stay again at the Tropicana.

spend a bit more for a nicer casino hotel

hotel is fine enough though next time i will spend an extra bit of money to stay at one of the other casinos. the casino is so-so. the restaurants all close early-ish on friday and saturday nights making it hard to get dinner anywhere besides the deli after 10pm. it's a casino...food should be more available! the pool closes at 6pm. room service took so long (waited over 1.5 hours) we ended up canceling it. ps. you need to list Washington, DCon the states list.
