Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 46Great Location and the Staff was very efficient and caring
The hotel was under renovation during our stay there. So therefore we did not get the opportunity to eat the Resturants. However, the staff made sure that we were satisfied with our room and went to the extent after a few days to give us an upgrade to a larger room and bed. Plus they threw in a bottle of wine.

Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 46Great Hotel/Perfect Location
This is a Club Quarters hotel- it fits well with the high quality of other Club Quarters hotels- good service, modern rooms (including fitness) located in interesting areas. This particular hotel is located across the street from Trafalgar Sq and within three blocks you are at St Martins in the Pines, the National Gallery, Covent Gardens and Liester Sq... theaters, bars etc- great stay.

Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 46Needs some upgrades
The rooms are fine, nothing special, but certainly adequate. They are clearly undergoing rennovations and hopefully that will lead to nicer ammenities. The lobby is rather sparse, only certain elevators get you to certain floors, and the guest services left something to be desired.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 46Good traveler hotel but the resturant isn't very good
The hotel is a very good hotel for someone looking for a good location and no extras. The connecting resturant on the other hand is awful.

Trip Type: Business Review 6 of 46Quite please
I stayed three nights. I was disappointed I had to change rooms for the last night because someone had reserved my room. I found it strange that the hotel did not have a lobby relaxation area. Otherwise, i was very pleased.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 46Great location and comfort
This hotel is ideally situated just below Trafalgar Square, across from the large Waterstone's bookstore, and around the corner from Charing Cross station. It is convenient to the theatre district, restaurants, the very heart of London. The price we had was very reasonable for a quality hotel at a great location. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The only faults: No bathtub, but the shower was a good size. No breakfast included and the optional breakfast was very expensive and nothing special. However, there are plenty of breakfast options within a short walking distance.

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 46Not so Grand...
I arrived at 3 pm Friday from a redeye flight to check in, and was greeted by a long check-in line, only one person at the small reception desk, and nobody to talk to about the checkin process. No signs, no announcements, no concierge or doorman or lobby area to sit down. Location is fantastic but for this price I would expect much better service and a lobby seating area. Also, when I finally checked in there were no rooms available. Maid service apparently takes all day. One day I was out all day, returned at 5 pm and the maid was just getting to my room. Also my room had no tub, only a shower, which for a female business traveler is really a drag. For this price I expect a tub.

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 46good for business travelers
this is a good choice for business travelers. Clean comfortable room with all the necessities, convenient location. If you are looking for leisure travel and pampering, this may not be it.

Trip Type: Business Review 12 of 46Great Location
I've stayed at the Grand at Trafalgar Square my last two trips to London. The location is great and the service is always prompt and friendly. I think it's one of the best values in the area.

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 46Good Value for the Buck
Hotel was quite nice for the money. Location was very convenient. Elevator frequently malfunctioned. Staff was very helpful. Room is clean, but lacked drawer space. It is tight with a King bed. Two tube stations (Embankment and Charing Cross) are about three minutes walk from the hotel and numerous restaurants are nearby. Simpsons on the Strand is an easy 10 minute walk. Close to the Abbey, Big Ben and the "Eye".

Trip Type: Business Review 14 of 46Clean, Convenient, Simple
The Grand is not a typical hotel in that it lacks many of the "service ammenities" of a typical hotel as it appears to cater to business travelers. While the front desk staff are helpful, they certainly are not equipped to fulfill concierge requests, baggage service, etc. Many ammenities are designed as "self service." The rooms and common areas are a bit rough around the edges but very clean and comfortable. The internet connectivity in the rooms, large screen televisions in the common areas, etc. are very nice additions.
