Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 314Exceeded my expectations!
After reading other's comments about the Luxor I was expecting my stay at the Luxor to be subpar. However, my stay there greatly exceeded my expectations! Everything was great about the casino and hotel. My room was clean, the casino atmosphere was pleasant, and the casino wasn't too smokey (like other casinos). My only dislike were the people constantly asking us to come see their timeshare! Overall, I loved this casino and would highly recommend it!

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 314A decent Hotel to stay
At outstanding design, I am engineer so the it was fascinating for me. Only hotel in Vegas that has elevators run side way. If you stay in Pyramid rooms, you will feel that elevator is shaking, don’t worry it is because you going up and left or right at the same time. All day buffet is cheap and service was very good. Express check out was very convenient. The only problem we had was to wait for long time when we had to call reception.

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 314Late Check-In = Room Upgrade
We checked-in at 11:30pm and rec'd upgraded room in new tower. I doubt rooms in older building would have been as good at base price. Walk from garage to new tower is a long distance however and parking is not as convenient as with other hotels. Upgraded room was very spacious. Very very nice bathroom with separate tub and large luxury shower. I hope I get lucky and get upgraded again the next time...

Smoking room bad idea. It smelled like an ashtray. My fault for bing a smoker. Allergies were really acting up. Poor ventiliation and no windows to open for fresh air. Roulette table operators unfriendly. Made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Slot machines were friendlier.

Trip Type: Romance Review 12 of 314Overall Fantastic, but.....
Overall I really enjoyed my experience at the Luxor. The theming is great, the food was great, and I really enjoyed the exhibits they had to offer while I was there. It's a perfect location on the south end of the strip -- it was really easy to get around the strip. The casino was great if you're a novice like I am -- I think pros would prefer the casinos a little further north on the strip. However I had a blast in the casino, and I won enough money to pay for my hotel room! The only complaint I had is that the beds were extremely uncomfortable. I stayed in the Pyramid, and I think the Tower rooms have just been renovated, so those may be better; but the beds definitely left me not wanting to extend my stay. As I said overall this was a great hotel with a fantastic view of the lights and the strip. I really enjoyed my stay.

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 314Very Disappointed
I booked a "Spa Suite" for a night and was completely disgusted by the room. The room was very old and dingy. The pillow sheets had stains on them and it looked like the carpet had never been cleaned before. There was no way I was going to get into the "spa" tub or even going take my shoes off and walk on the carpet. I immediately asked to switch rooms and transferred to a more recently renovated and comparable-priced "Tower Suite." The "Tower Suite" was much nicer. I was content with the new room and the managerial cooperation in switching rooms. If you are going to book a suite, I would definitely opt for the "Tower Suite" over the "Spa Suite."

The casino and restaurant areas are nice, the staff is friendly and helpful but the rooms are dirty and in bad condition.
