Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 347Great for the money
My wife and I went to a covention and booked a room at the Luxor. For the price, the room was much more than we expected. This is not the first time we have had a great experience with Hotels.com.

Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 347Pyramid Rooms need work
The shower in my room had a terribly clogged drain and the tv was old and poor quality. There was no proper business desk where I could use my laptop. The casino is fantastic though and the margaritas in the mexican restaurant are superb!

Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 347Great room for the money
It was exellent location for me. The kongress I have attended was nearby. I did have oportunity to watch a show and to choose menu from many great restaurants.

Trip Type: Business Review 7 of 347Not sure what all of the fuss was about
After reading other reviews, I was expecting to find the Luxor to be a dump. However, I was pleased to find the room clean and, while dated, not really bad in any way. The bathroom, in particular, was nice. Sure, it's not the Venetian, but for the money it's where I would stay. One note. I do wish they would "true up" their room rates by including the "resort fee" in their pricing. It is misleading, to say the least. Also, expect to pay for internet service, but I believe it's like that anywhere in Vegas.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 347Comfortable stay
Everything was good except for the wait at the check in line. I got to the hotel at 4:00pm and I had to wait for about 50 minutes in the line to check-in. For such a big hotel you would think there would be more than 3 people helping at the check-in line. This was the during check-out. There is only one lien for check-in and check-out.

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 347Quiet dusty & unsuitable for people w/ allergies.
I stayed there during the MSFT SharePoint conference. Pros: Accessibility, price to comfort ratio. Cons: The hotel is undergoing renovation & is quiet dusty. The rooms are clean superficially. There is a musty smell which lingers in the rooms (I changed twice) - a mixture of stale cigarette/tobacco & that of old carpeting. From a what-you-get-for-the-money perspective, it is pretty good.

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 347Will not stay again
I arrived at 9 pm they gave me room key. Opened door, the room had not been cleaned since last guest. Very dirty. Scuff marks all over front door like someone was trying to kick it in. It took an hour for someone to come change sheets, clean, etc... They didn't offer any comps that, but would put me in another room the next night. (not helpful)

Trip Type: Business Review 14 of 347Needs Improvement
Shower had algae in the grout. (One of my pet peeves) Transition from tile to carpet had frayed carpeting, tripped on my way into the room. The stench of cigarette smoke permeated the whole hotel. The rooms need an oxygen bottle to recover. I was short of breath most of the time (I am a jogger). I will take LA smog any day.
