A Disappointing Experience

Hotel is old by today's modern casinos. It reminds you of the early days of AC casinos - it is about 10 years too old. Only breakfast place open - opened at 11:30. The only coffee in the AM was at a lobby bar - the bartender only had small cups (small white styrofoam) and commented that you cannot find anything in this place. Note - the bartender was exceptionally knowledgeable about the casinos history and its current financial state. Aside from his comment, there was great pride in his tenure and that of his colleagues at the hotel. Nevertheless, I would like a cup of coffee in the AM. Room was adequate but not special. If you want something special, stay a night at the Rittenhouse - and you will know what true service means. Finally, the casino charges ala carte for everything. The informed consumer may appreciate the choice of having services built into the fee. Overall, the people were friendly, the facility is lacking. I'd try somewhere else if you are looking for a place with energy, coffee, and the opportunity to find a place opened for breakfast.

No Clean Rooms at Checkin - 3 Hour Wait till 3am!!!

Hotel Housekeeping left with 30 uncleaned rooms. When I arrived, 17 guests were waiting, some since 8pm for rooms. My room was made ready at 230am and I didn't get to bed till 315 am. NO manager was available and the front staff had no info. Only assistance came from the Food and Beverage Manager who came over to assist. Gave me $20 in food money as an apology for a 3 hour wait. My co-workers who did not have problems were given free buffets for each of three days as welcome comps and I got $20. Buffets start at $13 for breakfast, so this was nothing for the major inconvenience. I only had 3 hours of sleep the first night due to their incompetance. When I inquired the next day, I was rudely told their was nothing else they would too and they had already taken care of me. Would never stay here again. While the room they gave me was nice, the service and follow-thru was unacceptable for their mistake.

Great Location, Noisey Rooms

Location with nice Bay view,however had to move because walls tissue thin. Second room had leaking shower and smelled of smoke. Not my best rest at a hotel.

Staff was wonderful

This hotel was hosting a conference I wanted to participate in and I booked through hotels.com. From the very first encounter with parking valet to the front desk to the bell man I was treated in an outstanding, friendly and professional manner. The room lacked a desk for work purposes and the bathroom layout was a little tight but the accomodations were attractive, comfortable and clean. I would stay again.

too dated

the price i paid was very good but the hotel seemed dated and a little boring, the rooms were very dark and there was no ventilation in them either. so it got very stuffy in there. no big winners in the casino. crowd was very old or very urban

good service but needs update

I stayed for two nights at the trump marina for a conference. The services were very good, I called housekeeping to tell them my hairdryer was broke and they sent someone up to replace it within 5 minutes!! But the down side about the hotel is the location, it's away from the boardwalk, and nothing's going on within the hotel. Only 2 restuarants and a pizzeria to choose from, and a couple of gift shops. If you want to go over to Borgata, which is across from the hotel, the roads are confusing enough, and there's not much road signs to direct you to it. The room was very clean and a very good size. The bath room is good too. Just want I expected for the money I paid. But the bedding could used some update and the furniture too. It wasn't dirty or anything, but you could see it's been through a lot of wash, and the room felt kind of dusty and there's still lingering of cigarette smell. Plus the walls are not insulated too good, I could hear the next door neighbor turning on their tv, shower, and slamming of the door. Although there's a lot more room for improvement, I would still recommend this hotel because of it's price and the rooms are very nicely decorated with modern furniture. If you like the modern look and like me who doesn't like being transfer back to time with the 70's furniture in the room, this hotel is a good choice.

Great Hotel for the Price

Hotel is a little bit of a walk to the Harrah's hotel, No poker tables and they only have an outside pool. Hotel is scheduled to be turned into a Margarita Ville style venue in the coming months. Room was the best I have seen in all Hotels in Atlantic city.
