Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 19Amazing!
From the room to the surrounding area, we were throughly impressed with the Carlyle! I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Great room, great location, and great price. They however do hold 50.00 a night on your card for incendentials. The front desk said it would be returned in 48hrs but its been 4 days and I have not seen it. Budget that in when you plan your vacation. Still great hotel will stay there again.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 19really bad service
We checked in really late because we had a late flight. The guy at the front desk was really rude and it took him FOREVER to find our room. At one point he was saying he didn't have a room for us, which was really annoying especially since I called earlier that day confirming the reservation and letting the front desk know we would be check in at 2:00am. I wouldn't stay here again, I would pay a few bucks more for better service and quality.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 19Outstanding Hotel stay
Was very pleasantly surprised and my family extremely satisfied with the hotel. Since my daughter maybe signing up to go to Howard University this fall, we'll probably be there a few more times.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 6 of 19Close to Adams Morgan
Walking distance to Adams Morgan district. Limited parking, so you most likely will have to check in and find a parking spot on the street. Beds are very nice memory foam.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 10 of 19Great room for the money
The hotel was very clean. The location was great - it was in a nice neighborhood in Dupont and within walking distance to a metro station. I was also very impressed with the staff. They were very nice, courteous, helpful and polite.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 12 of 19It was very nice...
I had a great time at this hotel. It was really close to Adam Morgan street...lots of bars and lounges. The only thing I had a problem with was parking. There was very little room in the "lot" behind the hotel and parking on the street was impossible. Plan to find parking or get to the hotel earlier in the day. Other than that it was really nice and the beds are super comfy!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 13 of 19Great Room - Great Location
We were in DC to catch the fireworks display on July 4th. The hotels closest to the mall were either already booked or too expensive. The Carlyle was booked on other travel sites but had rooms available through Hotels.com. The room was reasonably priced and ended up being in a great location. We were very near DuPont Circle and within walking distance from the monument mall (it was a bit of a hike but we did it 3 times so it wasn't that bad). The one time we took a cab only cost about $9 including tip. The room was larger than expected and nicely decorated. The Carlyle accepts pets - which was a huge benefit to us because it saved us about $50 for a night of boarding. The attendants at the desk were helpful and knowledgeable. It was a holiday so parking wasn't an issue but it looks like it would be during the week as all the spots were 2 hour parking and zoned for permits.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 14 of 19Nice hotel, great location
Was really impressed with the hotel and especially the room. Had a 2 burner stove even! But for the price you pay it should be nice! LOVED the neighborhood and it is an easy 3 block walk to the Metro stop at DuPont Circle. Hotel has limited parking in back and we were lucky enough to get a space so didn't have to pay any additional cost for parking. Would stay there again!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 15 of 19VERY NICE HOTEL
Hotel was very nice and not too expensive. I stayed over memorial day weekend for my first trip to DC. About 3-4 blocks to the metro in a very nice area. Found free parking on the street and felt comfortable to leave it their overnmight. Plenty of good restaurants in walking distance. Hotel had a decent bar but nothing really to eat. Staff was very friendlt and helpful. Room had 2 beds, a couch and kicthenet w/ frig. Only complaint would be that the shower had only half a door which made the floor and everything wet.
