Disappointing Accomodations

After reading the reviews on the web site we booked the Pavillion Inn for a one night stay. The first room we were given had beds built on wooden platforms and the beds were extremely hard. The grout in the tile in the bathroom was black in places and the overall cleanliness was unsatisfactory. We spoke with the 1 front desk clerk and he said that he did not know anything about the cleanliness and the housekeeping staff had gone home by now. He "thought" some beds had a pillowtop and were softer. We tried a 2nd and 3rd room and finally found one with softer beds (without the wooden bases-not really platforms), and less mold on the tile. The furnishings were very minimal and we had thought this would be a step up from the budget chains. Not so!

Great Value

This hotel met and exceeded all my needs and expectations. I was looking for a hot tub, continental b-fast and wireless internet in the room. The hot tub and pool were indoors and clean, the wireless was easy and hassle free in the room, and the breakfeast was more than a continental, they actually cooked food! Bacon, eggs, sausages, bagels etc and it was kept hot. Everything was clean, comfortable and functioning. I travel to SLC about once a year and here is where I'm staying from now on.

GREAT Room for the Money

Very clean hotel, up-to-date rooms and amenities. Very helpful to have free internet access in lobby for airline check-in. Nice breakfast included with good hours for early risers. Staff were very friendly and responsive to questions. A terrific experience.

Very clean and new. Very convenient for on/off Rt 80. Poor directions to the hotel.

Great Value, Comfortable, Friendly Staff

We found The Pavilion Inn to be a great value, our corner room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff was vey willing to help make our stay pleasant. The complimentary breakfast was hot and fresh - although I felt the eggs and gravy were a bit to bland and the biscuits good use a bit of work. It was all good! Access to freeway was very good but still a quiet hotel. Definitely a recommendation if you are staying in the south SLC area for business or travel.

Outstanding Hotel

Excellent Hotel in a great location and a good price

Best hotel by far for the money

Me and my husband and 2 kids stayed here for almost an entire week, and were shocked at what a nice place it was for the money. We got a good price by booking through hotels.com, but it was still a great deal. The staff was particularly helpful and friendly with the exception of one person at the front desk, who was a little rude and condescending. Everyone else was awesome though. There are things like cookies, ice water, ice tea, and coffee available 24/7, and a great complimentary breakfast. THe pool is open 24 hours, which was great because it provided us with a lot of entertainment without having to stress and schedule when we could take the kids swimming. Overall, a great place. I especially liked Kelli at the front desk. I will definitely stay there again.

Never again

The guest service was terrible. The vending machines took my money. The smoke detector battery was low and kept beeping and no one would change it. The guest service desk did nothing about Very Loud and obnoxious people in the pool area who were yelling, running, screaming all day and night and I could here them in my room which was at the opposit end of the hotel and the second floor. Would never stay here again.

Easy on/off Freeway

This is in a great part of town. Easy on & off the Freeway. Made getting around town very quick and easy. Great location for the price.

Great deal

We loved this hotel. It was quiet where we stayed within the hotel. The hotel has nice features and great service. The hot breakfast is wonderful!
