Very unique outlay of room. Liked the atmosphere of the courtyard! Great neighborhood if you stay on st. charles. Dont stray too far away I would guess... Overall a great place!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 14Cozy Little Place
I fell in love with the look of this little place walking through the courtyard to get to the room. It was nice and quiet (quite a feat seeing how it is New Orleans). The room was the perfect size, not huge, but not tiny also. The perfect distance from the French Quarter. About a 10-15 min ride on the trolley which has a stop about 15 ft from the hotel. I very much enjoyed the stay there and can not wait to go visit New Orleans to stay there again.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 14Worthy of a second stay
Although I was a bit nervous about the neighborhood at first glance, I must admit that it met most of my needs. Overall the loft was spacious and the beds were comfy. Internet access in lobby and iron checkouts- very convenient! Also ery close to the steet car that runs up and down St Charles street. The air conditioner could have been a bit cooler- and it would have been nice if the room was cooled before our arrival. Downfalls- *no elevators- lots of stairs for the second floor(important if carrying lots of luggage as we women usually do) *bathtub was stained although it was clean *charge for local calls -$1 each call

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 14An Honest Opinion
Prior to staying at the Prytania Park Hotel I took the time to read some of the reviews associated with it. A total mixed bag if you ask me, with some reviews that will make you want to take your money elsewhere. I can not speak of every room the hotel has to offer, I can only speak of the room that I stayed in. A friend and I shared a contemporary double queen room, with one bed in a loft atop a spiral staircase and the other directly at the entrance. The room was as described by both the hotel site and hotels.com. As soon as you walk into the door, you are a couple of feet away from the first bed. The rooms may appear smaller when compared to most hotel rooms, but I've never been to a hotel with a bed in a loft to give a true comparison. The beds are comfortable, the A.C. works wonderfully, and the ceiling fan, is a must to use to keep the loft cool. If you are sharing a room with someone who prefers a warmer room when you prefer a cooler one, this room is perfect. You can run the A.C. without turning on the fan and the loft will stay warmer (since heat rises). I really did enjoy my stay in this room. I wouldn't share it with 4 people as the brochure suggests, but I am a big guy, and I like my space. For two people traveling, it works well. The mahogany stained doors were a nice touch and the mini fridge is great to hold your water for re-hydrating after walking or partying on Bourbon street. The staff was very pleasant, over the course of my booking I made contact with a friendly woman by the name of Judith who was very eager to help me with my booking and providing great info about the city. The other staff were helpful, one even gave us a map highlighting the good, and not so good spots to visit. I never partook of the continental breakfast; I myself am not a breakfast person so I leave that up to you. From what I saw there were croissants, raisin bran and milk, juice, and coffee. One thing I did partake of were the Jolly ranchers that were kept out throughou

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 14I'll Stay Again.....
We went to a concert at the N.O.Arena, so we didn't want to spend too much, and wanted to be close for a cheap taxi- we suceeded. Hotel was cute and clean and was a block from a good Sushi place. We were slightly paranoid coming home, but that could be anywhere you go in an unfamiliar neighborhood.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 6 of 14Value for the price
The location isn't too bad. Close to the trolley. Close to restaurants. The place has a gym across the street that you can use. Bathroom is small and the drainage is poor. The carpets were dirty. The maid service was good.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 14Good Quality for Price
I rented one of the double queen loft-style rooms. I was really surprised by the low price we paid and the fact that they had free parking. We paid less for this hotel than a standard room in our hometown (not known for being a tourist town). The wallpaper was peeling a little upstairs, a previous guest left takeout in the mini-fridge, and the shower was a little stained. However, for the price we paid, the convenience of the location (about a block from the St. Charles streetcar line) and the hotel staff (willing to let us check in late and had change for us for the streetcar) more than made up for the less than stellar accomodations. If you are on a budget, or feel uncomfortable with driving in New Orleans, this is the place to stay.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 14It's our new favorite boutique hotel
It is quaint, the staff is friendly and accommodating and best of all, it is one block from the St. Charles Trolley Car route. The neighborhood is safe. Our room was very unique. Overall, a lovely surprise.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 12 of 14rude staff and poor housekeeping
called for towels repeatedly and never recieved any. staff was extremely rude. the girl who checked me in did not run my credit card, against what i later learned was hotel policy. message was left by hotel staff on hotel phone about a problem with the card i gave them for a deposit for room damage. i was gone the rest of the day and did not receive the message. when i returned, the hotel was tryng to change the keys to the room, even though the room was already prepaid for two nights. when i called the manager to complain, she was unapologetic, despite admitting that the mixup was the hotel's fault.

Picture online looks better than it is in person. I had 2 rooms and the second didn't have a refrigerator. For a fair price sure. I did not get the room I requested and I didn't receive any discount or apology. This hotel is made for couples only and not family . It's amazing how a picture can say 1000 words. Speaking on behalf of my sister and god-son, in the future we will not be spending it with Prytania Park Hotel. I've been to a few hotels in N.O. but for me this was the worse.
