Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 21Glad we stayed here
This is a very nice hotel in a great location. It's different from hotels I've stayed in before but I guess that's New Orleans, which is fine by me. The courtyard is more what I think of as a walkway but it was nice. Yes, the bathroom and the room itself were small but I knew that going in. It's New Orleans. I managed just fine. The hotel staff is very nice and helpful. The towels are good, the bed is comfortable, the shower works great and, very important to us, free parking in a nice lot. We couldn't get the wireless signal in our room but we used our laptop in the courtyard. No big deal really. We came to see the city, not work on the computer. We didn't have the breakfast but it looked expansive and very continental. More than sufficient I would say. I have no patience for people who whine about the breakfast. If you don't like it, there's a Burger King a block away. Speaking of which, there are several good restaurants within walking distance. And a laundrymat two blocks down with a very friendly owner. The streetcar was little disappointing. We caught it easily and went to the French Quarter. When it was time to come back, we wanted an hour before we finally took a cab which was only about 7 dollars. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to experience New Orleans.

Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 21Good value with few exceptions
The hotel is very convenient to cable car. And once on cable car you can get to almost anything. The parking is free! Continental breakfast - although minimal -is a good start to the day or another meal! Front desk was helpful. An all-round good deal. My only complaint is our room was dirty. Dirty in the sense that only a superficial cleaning had been performed. Examples: the refigerator was absolutely coated in dust and there was a stash of human hair under bathroom sink. It sounds pretty bad, I know, but everything else considered the value was there and I would recommend the hotel.

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 21Not bad for the price
This hotel is somewhat dingy and the internet didn't work inside the room, you have to go outside in order to use it. Staff was courteous and helpful, the free breakfast and free parking is a plus, and it has charm. There are lots of benches and tables for sitting outside. Extensive tv channel selection. No extras like shampoo, mouthwash, etc, but it was a very good deal for the price.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 21This is the only hotel in N.O.L.A. I will stay in from now on!!!
I have been on many trips to New Orleans over the last 6 years and haven't found another hotel I would rather stay in. The street car is right around the corner, the hotel itself is easy to find, (which if you have ever been to N.O. before you know that's a big deal) and the staff was the absolute best!!! They were so helpful and courteous, offering to book any reservations we wanted, giving us maps of the city, and the security guard even carried our bags to our room. The parking was free and there is 24 hr security. Our room had an upstairs loft with a queen sized bed, the room was in excellent repair, and the hotel was just beautiful. We can't say enough wonderful things about our stay and will definately be staying there from now on. I have stayed in hotels as expensive as $400 per night and was far less satisfied with the room and service.

Great location 1 block of St. Charles and street car line. Several restaurants and bars within walking distance. Cozey Antebelum feel. True New Orleans flavor and style. Will certainly return.

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 21Prytania Park Hotel
I have stayed at the Prytania Park Hotel several times and it's always the same. The staff is very friendly, room clean and hotel is very quite. Rooms are not large but they are comfortable. Location is great for me. Garden District is down the street and a short drive to French Quarter. Several nice restuarants in the area.

One block to the streetcars, and MardiGras parades in uptown. The room had a great bed and amenites.

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 21It was real nice
Me and my boyfriend stayed there the weekend before valentines day and it was really nice. The hotel was clean and the people were friendly but my boyfriend did say it was sorta set up like one of the hotels in a horror movie. I LIKED IT THOUGH. really nice for the price

Trip Type: Romance Review 12 of 21Good hotel, great location
Other than a little bit of dirt in the bathroom and a towel shortage that was corrected promptly by the front desk, no problems whatsoever. Loved the location (close to streetcar stop) and surrounding neighborhood, and most definitely the free parking.

I found this hotel when looking to book a room over New Years. The hotel staff was very helpful and polite. The room was basic, but it had a microwave and mini-fridge. I would recommend this hotel to someone who was looking to be near the French Quarter.

It was very quiet, but still close enough to all the exciting things to do. Perfect for a relaxing weekend.

Great location in the garden district. close to plenty of resturants and 5 minute drive to the French Quarter. Staff was very freindly and professional. Was able to park in their lot which had security at night and did not have to worry about waiting for my car thru valet parking and it was free.
