Prytania Park Hotel

excellent value, great location

Stayed at the hotel for two nights and could not ask for a better value. It is in walking distance to the beautiful mansions in the Garden District, mere steps from the St. Charles Ave. with trolley service and great restaurants. Room was clean, continental breakfast just that. Staff was very friendly and recommended restaurants, printed maps and was very helpful finding a left behind bag. Would definitely return.

Nice place

Nice place to stay for a night. A bit far from the nightlife (15-20 minutes walking), but located in a safe area.

Wonderful stay!

We were pleasently surprised to find that this hotel was as nice as it sounded on the internet. The staff was wonderful and the room beautiful (you have to have the loft!). Big plus was the free parking and the proximity to the trolley line. It's inexpensive and a great alternative to get to the French Quarter. We would stay here again on our next visit to New Orleans!

A Good Deal

We were looking for an inexpensive place to stay during a recent visit to new Orleans, and the Prytania Park fit the bill. We were in one of the queen loft rooms and ours was clean and very servicable. I didn't realize quite how small the bathroom would be, but otherwise no complaints. I can't say enough about the quality and friendliness of the staff and the overall charming character and feel of the hotel. We did not rent a car and if you are traveling at peak times the trolley can be quite the ride. On our next visit we will take advantage of the free parking and rent a car. If you are budget minded, confidently make your reservation at the Prytania Park, it won't disappoint.

Good location, nice enough place to stay again

We went to get our son settled in as a freshman at Loyola. We went with some extra time, and found the location convenient to streetcar, school, and all the activities we chose for the few days we were there. We didn't go exclusively to the French Quarter, so we didn't want to stay where there is quite that much "action". The hotel is quiet, well enough maintained for an older place, and still conveniently located. We aren't heavy breakfast eaters, so the cold croissants and danishes didn't bother us, but they would be disappointing if one is expecting much for breakfast. We stayed in one of the rooms with a loft, and the twin beds upstairs were firm while the queen bed was luxuriously soft. (In our case, our teenage daughter stayed in the soft bed while us old folks with bad backs stayed in the loft beds). Rooms were well enough appointed and the staff very helpful. The well-lit and FREE parking lot are a definite plus.

great place to stay

I was really bowled over when I got to this hotel. The pictures and the reviews made me interested in this hotel but I was still a little leery never seeing it before. When I got there the staff couldn't have been nicer parking was free well lit with security. The lobby was clean and bright. The court yard was clean with the foliage neat and trimmed. Tables and chairs with benches were very stylish. Then I proceed upstairs to my room with a loft when I opened the door you could of knocked me over with a feather what a beautiful,clean and well furnished room. This is an awesome place to stay would definitely recommend this property.

served me well

I was in town to help my son pack up his dorm at Tulane. the ease of access to the streetcar was great. saved me having to rent a car. conversely i was able to get to the Quarter just as easy. fast food is close by but not what I wanted. couple of taverns close for cold one after packing. staff were very helpful in pointing out restaurants in the quarter.

Prytania Park

Excellent Hotel for the price, I thought the loft was "neat", the staff was very friendly & polite. The free parking was a plus.

Good location, nice hotel

We were visiting our daughter at Tulane and this hotel was in a great location halfway between Tulane and the French Quarter, one block off St. Charles Avenue (and the St. Charles Ave. street car). The furnishings were older and the room was not very fancy, but we liked it.
