Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 18Good Option
The hotel is a 15-20 min walk to the Conference Center and to downtown/French Quarter. Administration is very cordial and attentive. It is also close to restaurants and has a gym closeby. Overall, very good option.

If your are into to quiet courtyards, stain wood, convenience restaurants and a very hot shower, then you would like this hotel.

We chose this hotel mostly based on the price and the loft. It was wonderful. The loft was as cool as we thought, and the location was very convenient. The staff was extremely helpful from everything to restaurant recommendations, to meeting our needs quickly. I just wish the bathroom had been a little bigger. Other than that, wonderful hotel.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 18A high three star hotel at a budget price
Prytania Park hotel seems to have the qualities of a good three star hotel. It is not a luxury hotel, but it has the nescessities, friendliness and convieniences as a good three star hotel. My experience was that the price is low for the quality of hotel. The room was roomy for the price. It was in a good neighborhood and convienient to downtown. The hotel staff was very nice. Wireless internet worked fine even in my room. I would suggest visitors bring their own shampoo & conditioner as they are not furnished in the room.

Fortunately for our group, we have a friend in Louisiana who advised us when he dropped us off at the hotel, that the hotel is located very very close to an area of town that is less than desirable. However, 1 block the opposite direction and St Charles is a great street with eateries.

This hotel is not new and tile floors and bathrooms are worn but clean. Location just off St. Charles Ave. is great and free parking a plus. Very pleasant staff.

It's cute, but the only pictures wasn't what I got. WiFi only works in half the location, not my room. No individual climate control in your room. Don't get me wrong for a tiny little room, it was quaint. Great New Orleans feel to the place with the tables and chairs outside. Bathrooms need upgrading, desperately. Close to some decent restaurant/bars. Close to Canal (2 miles). It was very quiet, thank you. But I've stay in hotels 200 nights a year. Not the bang for the buck. Staff was nice. No overnight service though.

Quiet and convenient to both the Central Business District and uptown New Orleans. Furnishings a bit timeworn but everything worked and the people are very pleasant. Free parking a plus.

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 18Quaint, great service - friendly staff
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Courtyard area was lovely. Loft was a perfect set-up for sharing with another guest. Interior of the rooms was somewhat neglected,we would have expected a little more. Overall, we were satisfied. If you are looking for glamour of the Marriott, this is not your hotel. If you want reasonable rates with staff willing to help, this is the place.

We got two queen beds in our room- one was in the loft- up a narrow spiral staircase. The loft was too warm on some nights (we were there in mid March). Cleaning staff wasn't consistent about vacuuming the rug. The bathroom with the toilet and bathtub/shower was annoying small. We had to let their maintanance guy know that the shower had a leak and the bathroom floor was always wet after someone took a shower. Location was not bad; it's only one block north to the Charles St. trolley that takes you to the French Quarters and also to a few nice restaurants and bars. If you walk south though, the neighborhood starts looking a little delapidated and iffy.

This hotel is a nightmare. While the actual building is in ok shape, the neighborhood is a mess. There is a dilapidated building adjacent to the parking lot. Despite the fact that it is in an "ok" area of the city (as I was told by locals), it borders on Central City which is NOT an ok area. I was staying alone, and spent much of my time jumping out of my skin at every sound i heard. There is a lot of road traffic noise. The lobby is locked once it gets dark to keep people from the outside from coming in. The rooms are tiny, the best are stiff. There are rooms on the backside of the hotel that face a dirty alley (where my room was located). There was also someone (or something) pounding on a back gate for about an hour at three in the morning, which was just lovely. The few saving graces were that the staff was very friendly and the shuttle from the airport was cheap.
