Trip Type: Not Provided Review 1 of 17Wish we had know about this before we booked
Hotel and staff as well as neighborhood exceeded our expectations. However, at checkin they did require an additional daily fee to stay there -- a fee to help them maintain the hotel. It was almost as much as an additional night stay at the hotel.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 4 of 17Needs Improvement
Liked: The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean. Nice amenities in the room. Full cable channels in the room. Free parking Disliked: An additional $12.00 resort fee charge not included or mentioned in the rate. The hotel is OLD, but it is clean. The air conditioner did not work properly. It had to be manually turned on. The wind rattled the doors as there are no seals on the doors. It is located next to a busy highway and a fire station. In one night I was woken up 4 times by sirens and countless others by loud trucks and motor cycles going down the highway. No secondary locks on the doors.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 5 of 17Know your neighbors
Not that this was necessarily the hotel's fault, but my main bag did not arrive with me at the airport and I was forced to go without initially. However, this should not have been such an issue as my bag arrived to the airport somewhat later in the day (early evening) and was shuttled to the hotel, accordingly...or so I thought. After multiple inquiries with the hotel staff, the shuttle company, airlines, etc. I was convinced my bag had been plundered! Little did I know that my bag was delivered as expected...but to the neighboring Westin Kanapaali Villas just down the street. When I finally retrieved my bag, having made do with the clothes I flew in for an entire day/night, I was informed by the staff at the Westin that this mix up happens regularly. That being the case, I question why the staff at the Maui Kanapaali Villas would have never thought to ring their neighbors on my behalf. Instead, all I got was the typical "sorry...don't know, brah" island reply...

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 6 of 17Been Great for Years
This hotel has been our home in Hawaii for decades. It is super quiet and has all the amenities of the well known chains along the beach. The rooms are spacious and the full kitchen saves us a fortune on meals.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 7 of 17Well worth the price
For the price it is hard to beat. Was well pleased with the entire package.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 8 of 17NOT a 4 star hotel!!
If you get a condo - its nice. Their hotel rooms are in the rear on the highway - very noisy and quite honestly crap.

the corridor was very dirty. the bedding was not clean and had stains on it. the bathroom was ok but overall the property had the look of a below average motel.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 10 of 17On a great coral beach
... but they put us in a room next to new swimming pool and garden construction. Forget about midday nap

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 11 of 17Good Room in a great area
This hotel was a little older and pricy but it is in a great area. The pool was great, the grounds were well kept and pretty, and being close to the beach was really nice. The restaurant was difficult to get to with their hours and then we were not able to take our drinks to where we could see the beach so that was a little disappointing. Overall, it was nice and the hotel staff at the front desk were exceptional.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 12 of 17Unfortunately..
I was only at this hotel for 4 nights as I was in Maui for a friend's wedding and spent most of my time off grounds at other hotels. However, for the rate I paid and for the size room I received, I was happy with the accommodations. Further, it was quiet and convenient to everything close by.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 13 of 17Decent room for the price
Great room - we had a studio which came with a kitchenette and had lots of space, great views, etc. The location was great. Our only complaint is that there were several gnat-like bugs in the kitchen that we couldn't get rid of.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 14 of 17Beautiful Maui Address
The room was lovely and spacious, however, the add-ons to the quoted price were atrocious! Unfortunately, this is common in Hawaii now. They added over $20 in charges and taxes above the rate which was advertised plus an additional $10 plus tax after arrival.
