Hotel was adequate but nothing to rave about. It was clean.

Great location, needs to be fumigated

We read the reviews prior to booking, and saw that few people wrote they had bugs in room. I thought that only happened to people with bad luck, but it does have bugs. My sister's bed had bugs walking in the pillows every night that we stayed. Being said that, the hotel offers free parking two blocks form the Alamo, which is a great plus in San Antonio. The Rivercenter mall is one block away and the riverwalk has multiple entrances you can choose from that are very close (1,2, or 3 blocks away). The breakfast is muffins, danish and cereals, not really good, but you have Denny's in front of the Rivercenter mall, just in case. Hotel staff is friendly and room was very clean (except the bugs). Again, is a nice "budget" hotel in Downtown San Antonio, I recommend it and I would stay again since I'm not bother by bugs, but if you can't live among them, I suggest staying at another place.

Good hotel

Its a good place to stay it does need some work to the bath room but other than that it was a good stay i would recomend it to people. I have stayed their before and i will stay their again.

Great location; horrible service

This hotel is right by the Alamo and riverwalk, which makes it a great location. It took me three calls to the front desk to get extra towels (that I had to pick up myself). Then I had to fight with the manager over the phone to get an extra blanket (she told me there were none left, I said I wanted to make a complaint, finally they were able to find me a blanket). Overall, the location was great and I enjoyed my stay, but the service leaves much to be desired.

GREAT LOCATION FOR THE MONEY! GOOD DEAL!

The hotel is in a good location from downtown. The hotel location is approximately 1 block from the Alamo and 2 blocks from the Riverwalk. The Spurs played about 5 minutes away too but you would probably need to drive to get to that. We walked and it took about 10 minutes to get to the Riverwalk. The room was nice. We stayed in the "newly renovated section". It was quiet and I was comfortable with leaving my car in the parking lot because they had security walking through at random times. (I did see the security guard numerous times.) The double beds were comfortable and the staff was nice. The only defaults I could find from our stay was the bathroom was extremely small. The toilet was right next to the wall and made it difficult to sit comfortably. The shower had hot water and not bad pressure at all. However, there was minor mold on the shower curtain but nothing that couldn't be handled or easily overlooked by an easygoing person staying. They had wireless internet and numerous channels on the television. Overall, the stay was good and I would definitely stay there again because of the price and location.

Decent hotel for the money

The hotel is rather old, but clean and adequate. The bathroom is very small but I loved the shower. It is very close to the Riverwalk and the price was right. The bed was very comfortable. One of the dresser drawers was broken, and the phone in my son's room didn't work. But nothing we couldn't live with. I would highly recommend this hotel to the budget minded traveler.

Needs Improvement

Try Getting rid of the high school restroom toilets and controlling the cricket problem. Tons of crickets in the room.

get rid of roaches and have the staff not listen to inappropriate music loudly while checking out customers
