Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 261 block to beach
It was an average hotel. No bells and whistles, but it worked. The room was ok. The pool was nice. It was within walking distance to the beach. The continental breakfast was nice. For what we paid, we really had no major complaints. (One small complaint: The room needed more hooks for swimsuits and towels.) Staff was very friendly.

Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 26NIce Hotel, good location a short walk to the beach
This hotel was just what my family needed. The hotel seemed to have been recently painted and updated, the pool was smaller than expected but, plenty of lounge chairs and tanning space. The room had a basic and updated feel. The two full beds were a bit to firm the sheets seemed clean and smelled fresh. The desk and office chair a great bonus. The bathroom was nice and clean, neatly updated and well stocked. The bath and shower had low water pressure but was enough. Over all a great place to stay for the money. A clean basic hotel.

Room was very dirty, loose hair still on bathroom floor from previous guest. Yuck! Also, the toilet did not flush the first time I used it and I had to call maintenance, and it kept having problems. The air conditioner was loud, and did not get very cold at all. Also, very poor service. I called down for towels and ended up having to go get them every time I needed them. This hotel definitely needs some better customer service and better cleaning service is a must!

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 26Nice hotel at good price
A nice hotel located just far enough out of the busy myrtle beach. nice pool. AC was a bit warm, but for the price it was great. AND I was able to park my boat onsite.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 26Nice hotel
I read a couple of comments the past customer s wrote and I disagree with the negative ones. I had a great time, the rooms were clean. I expected to smell urine and pets when I entered the room, but I didn't. No carpet stains it was comfortable for me. Front Desk service was excellent. We were inwalking distance to the beach, mini golf course right across the street so it was fine. They have renovated the hotel. They served waffles instead of just plain donuts nd muffins. I would reserve a room here again.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 26Great room for the money
My family and my sisters family met up at this hotel for a 3 night new years stay. The hotel was clean and quiet, very close to everything including walking to the beach. No complaints at all!

The lobby and breakfast area were clean and bright; a great first impression. Our room was just as clean and bright; looked brand new. Surroundings were peaceful with grass and huge oak trees. The beach was "2 blocks" away -- long blocks, but a beautiful, non-traffic burdened street. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. All this plus we could bring our dog and for a knockout price. We'll be back.

This was my third stay at Myrtle Beach.I have to say that Red Roof Inn was by far the best stay I've experieced. All my requests were met within a timely fashion. And the beds and pillows were the most comfortable of any motel/hotel I've ever stayed at.

Title says it all. Hotels.com had the best rate! The hotel is very clean, the staff is friendly, and its only a short walk to the beach and miniature golf. The breakfast is only muffins though. We thought this hotel was a steel!

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 26Rooms clean but the Hallways need work & AC
Overall the stay was fine. The room was very clean and comfortable. However, the hallway looked like it had not been cleaned in some time. There was a phamlet that laid in the hallway for four days and one in the elevator for three days. I would stay here again because overall for the money it was a good place.

A decent hotel with a great price that is 2 blocks from the beach. For the money it is well worth the stay in Myrtle Beach.

This was a last minute trip. It is a nice hotel. A very short, scenic walk to the beach. Pool was clean. Breakfast was good & was always stocked well , although it was mostly danishes and muffins. The staff were all very pleasant. Would stay there again.

Trip Type: Family Review 15 of 26Nice Surprise
We actually have stayed at Myrtle Beach hotels numerous times with great disappointment. Usually our experience with most of our hotel rooms are musty smelling dingy rooms. Needless to say we just thought that's what you got when at a beach location unless you pay for a 5 star. But when we checked into the Red Roof we were pleasantly surprised. It was very clean, had no odor & was very spacious. I can't think of any complaints whatsoever. I even felt like I could walk barefoot around the room. (The last few hotels I actually didn't take my shoes off until getting into the bed.) The bathroom was very clean. I loved the wood floors in there. It just looked spotless. We were only staying for one night & actually left the next morning. But during breakfast decided to go back & stay another night. Our second night was even better. We had a suite with a separate room for our kids. Even though they had a pull out sofa they said it was very comfy. I highly recommend it & the price was fairly reasonable for July. It was actually one of the cheaper hotels that we saw listed.
