Great location, friendly staff and a great little restaurant. What else do you need!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 94Great location!
Close to Michigan Avenue - walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Old - historic - but well-maintained. Rooms were small but comfortable.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 3 of 94Small but Beautiful
A boutique hotel may be by definition made up of mostly small but lovely rooms. This one has top of the line bedding and a very comfortable layout but you edge between the bed and the TV armoire. The bathroom is very pleasant but not large enough for more than one person to stand in at a time. The standard Queen was best fit for a single. The location is fantastic and worth the price.

Great location and lovely, if somewhat small, room. European ambiance. Breakfast at the accompanying restaurant was convenient, with something for everyone. Very friendly staff.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 6 of 94Best room for the money
The Whitehall is a beautiful hotel just off Michigan Ave. Our room looked like it was just renovated. It was also the quietest hotel room I've ever stayed in. They are renovating other rooms on the floor we were on but we get up early to see the city and never noticed anyone working.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 94great room for the money
The room was spacious, the bed was very comfy. The bathroom was super nice, especially the makeup mirror! The only quibble was only 1 wash rag was in the bathroom & we had to call for another one. You have to call room service for ice, which I don't mind going myself. It arrived promptly. The location was great, within walking distance to our destinations. Would stay there again.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 10 of 94Excellent Hotel
This hotel is terrific if you like older hotels instead of glitz. Excellent location near Mag Mile shopping, and the staff was unfailingly courteous. Hotel rooms are being rehabbed-- those not done yet look tired, but everything is clean, and the work being done is not an issue. We were there 5 days and did not see or hear construction. Two small negatives: the daily charge for wi-fi is high, as is the valet parking. You can save quite a bit if you walk or cab and leave your car in the garage across the street!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 11 of 94Great service!
The hotel staff was very friendly and attentive. If you ask, they'll be happy to help out! The rooms we booked were gorgeous but the view is nothing spectacular. The location of the hotel was a block from the water tower plaza which is of course, on Michigan Avenue! I would definitely stay here again

Trip Type: With Friends Review 12 of 94Best buy!! Excellent Location, perfect for business or tourist!!
This location was perfect on my visit to Chicago. We were within walking distance to the local restaurants, night life, and the rail system. Only minutes from Wrigley Field, Navy Pier, and all the best museums. ***Notice...They do charge a mandatory $45/night for parking of any vehicle...unlimited in and out, but an unexpected charge none the less*****

Trip Type: With Friends Review 14 of 94A great deal!!!
The Whitehall Hotel is located just off MI Avenue near Watertower and is a terrific starting point for walks all around downtown Chicago. The room was comfortable with the exception of having too few electrical outlets for the 21st Century travelers who need to recharge their gadgets on a nightly basis. The staff could not have been nicer! We'll definitely stay there again.
