All-around uncomfortable

Our expectations may have been a little too high for this resort (based on photos and reviews). To sum up our stay, we couldn't sleep as the beds were way too firm, and pillows much too thick. It was just too big a difference from our bed at home...not the hotel's fault. The bedding and room seemed clean, although a bit cramped...it felt like we were living in a shoe box. The living area was very uncomfortable as well - the couch and chair were very hard and scratchy. The TVs were nice, but we were disappointed that we couldn't order pay-per-view movies. We ate at the Tropicale the night we arrived, and the food was terrible, which deterred us from ordering room service during our stay (which is my favorite thing to do!). We checked out a night early, and were so happy to get home and get some sleep! We won't be staying here again.

Minor Issue

The hotel was really nice, and the pool was amazing! The only issue we had was that when our daughters first took a shower the night we checked in, we had no hot water. The maintenance staff was very quick to respond and resolved the issue within 25 minutes. We had plenty of hot water for the rest of our stay.

Nice hotel in good location at good price

On the upside, the hotel is very nice and well maintained. Easy access to your room and plenty of parking with access to your tower/room without going through the lobby each time. On the downside, the hotel service is bad. The staff is far from corteous and need an attitude adjustment. They're absent for the most part and when finally find one s/he will most likely be grumpy.

Great Hotel in a great location

It was a good clean and well run hotel. The staff were friendly. The swimming pool was very nice and it was only minutes from the theme parks and Downtown Disney. I was very happy with the hotel and would definately stay there again.

Always Come Back

I can always count on this hotel. I have tried others that are fancier. I have tried others that are cheaper. I always come back to the Caribe Royale. The kids love it. I would come here without my kids. They are close to the parks. The only negative is that they are not one of the disney parks so you can't use the disney transit system. Other then that you can't do better then this hotel.

Very comfortable hotel with lovely pool

My daughter, grand-daughter and I stayed here for 1 night for the weekend just to relax and get together. My 5 year old grand daughter loved the pool, especially the water fall and the 75 foot slide. She played in the tot lot and enjoyed the other children there. The pool was very clean and well maintained. We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant, a bit pricey but overall very satisfying. The rooms are very clean, great shower and very comfy beds with a small front room, 2 large screen TV's and small frig in room. All in all it is ideally located 1 mile from Downtown Disney and access to all the major attractions. We had a lovely weekend and would return when visiting Orlando.

Second time staying here... and more to come

This is our second time staying here. Everything is wonderful - from the bed and luxourious bedding, to the way the room is configured, to the pool and water slide. The main reason for comming back is the 75ft waterslide and the kid pool - my kids LOVE being being able to go between the waterslide to the kid pool with the adjacent playground. The hotel is also very close to I4, Toll road 417 and all the usual turist attractions (Sea World, Disney, the LEGO store etc) We will definitely be comming back.

Excellent quality and value for what we spent. Parking is somewhat an issue as we had to park it seemed like a block from our room after hours. Incredible LCD TV's in the rooms but need HD. What a shame to see a non HD picture on such nice sets. The restrooms could use a dimmer switch for nighttime use and a shower wand for the women. The renovated rooms are great and the pool atmosphere was wonderful with a separete kidde pool for our small children.

Perfect Holiday Weekend Get Away

No hidden Fees! You can find good hotel deals but most hide costs in extra fees such as resort fee, parking fee etc. However, there was a Wi-Fi fee. Bedroom - our room was a one bedroom suite. We loved the comfort of the beds, pillows and bed linens. Living Area - Sofa pulls out into a bed, however, not much room to walk around when folded out. Comes equipped with Refrigerator, Microwave and Coffee Pot. Concierge - One is place at the ground floor in each tower. Very helpful. Pool area - Kept Clean. Towels are available. Pool chairs around the pool are more limited in the afternoon -- get there early. Our children loved the slide and waterfalls. The pool seemed spacious but if hotel is at full capacity it would be very crowded. Hot tubs were the same temperature as the pool. The hot tub by the bar area was the busiest and was not very clean. We opted for the secluded one by the game room. Poolside Bar - Service, food and drinks are okay. 18% gratuity added to all checks. We passed and had food and drink from our mini-fridge. Grocery store in the general vicinity but by car only. Evening movie by the pool - we had a great time watching the movie by the pool. Be sure to get your popcorn at the pool side bar. Great location to Disney if you are going. Great location for restaurant -- We love Bahama Breezes! We'd go back!

A Great Property When You Want a Weekend Getaway

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. the kids LOVED the swimming pool. There was even a kiddie pool and two hot-tubs. The water slide was a blast for kids 42' and taller. Even adults would go down the slide. The pool area was open until 11pm. The room was clean and having a bigger fridge and microwave was a plus especially since we ate out most of the time. Lastly, it was nice having a separate room (living room) for the kids to watch TV if we wanted to watch something else in the evenings in the other room. Great hotel and one of Orlando's best kept secrets.
