Very nice boutique hotel in great neighborhood, close to Waterfront and Train. Room was big with sitting room, bath, and bedroom. King bed was super comfortable. Free internet and 2 TV's. Openable windows and 2 thermostat controlled hvac units. Very nicely appointed suites with lots of luxury extras. Newspaper in the morning and super nice lobby.

The service at this hotel is really wonderful. Great staff!!!! They were very kind and attentive in every way possible. On more than one occasion the staff went above and beyond their jobs to assist us. We really felt like they cared. The hotel was beautiful and very comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

As usual, wonderful expereince. Close to meeting rooms, resturants, marina, shopping, yet cost effective. Clean and confortable. I'll be back.

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 38Outstanding Value
We stayed at the Hotel LeSoliel in March '09 to attend a professional conference held at Canada Place. It was convenient to the conference, and there were a lot of great restaurants/pubs in the neighborhood. Bellaggio Cafe two blocks up Hornby Street was reasonably priced, friendly, and the food was tasty. Robson Street and the Vancouver Art Gallery were within easy walking distance; Stanley Park and Granville Market were long hikes, but do-able. We travelled by Amtrak, and transferred easily to the Skytrain, which stopped a block from the hotel. The streets around the hotel were safe, though there is a "gentleman's club" in the same block which was pretty colorful at night, and panhandlers in much of downtown Vancouver.

I stayed there while attending a conference at another hotel. I've stayed in Vancouver several times and spent a lot more money on hotel rooms - this was so much nicer and so reasonably priced

Trip Type: Business Review 14 of 38A nice surprise
Booked my room because of the price and was happy to find a wonderful old world hotel in downtown Vancouver. Very nice staff-how terrific for a change-great room with a separate sitting area and good bar and restaurant. I want to go back with friends and stay a week!

Trip Type: Business Review 15 of 38high-end hotel for budget price
When I booked my room at Hotel le Soleil, it was slightly less expensive than one at the nearby Hyatt, where my conference was. I was amazed at how nice it was. The service was quiet, quick, and very friendly; every amenity was there (except an in-hotel gym -- I went to the YWCA, just twenty feet or so away, at a discount price using a coupon from the hotel). The room had a separate sitting room and bedroom, each with its own (nice) TV. The room felt "designed" (in a good way), the furniture felt luxurious and the mattress and bedding were comfortable. The bathroom though not huge was definitely not cramped. The only real problem with the room was that there wasn't quite enough space between the desk and the bed -- it felt as if desks weren't planned into the original hotel design. I was first put into a third-floor room facing the back of the hotel. The view out the window there was not so great, dominated by a building service area below; on my request they moved me to an eighth-floor room which was much nicer. The wireless Internet access didn't work very well in my room but the hotel loaned me an Ethernet cable and, using that, Internet access was fast and trouble free.
