Great price for the service

I agree with many of the other reviews that the parking was an issue. If you did not want to pay $21 for valet service, you had to pay $12 for the garage. Seems outrageous to charge your guests to park themselves in the garage. Aside from the parking, we loved the pool and the view from the terrace. The service was outstanding as I had to call the concierge at 1 am when I needed aspirin and they went the extra mile and went to the store and purchased it for me. I was very grateful for the above and beyond service and would stay again.

Met all my expectations

I was a bit hesitant because the inconsistent reviews I'd read, but after staying two nights I have no major complaints. We especially enjoyed the pool/terrace area, which even has herb and vegetable gardens. It was a sublime place to relax in the evening. Be forwarned that there is only one restaurant on site besides a Starbucks with limited hours, so you either need to use your car or walk 4-5 blocks for food. If you don't mind walking a bit, the hotel's central location is perfect for visiting the musuems and other attractions downtown.

Nice weekend get away Hotel -

We were looking for a family weekend get away hotel in the Dallas area and we found it. This is not the typical family get away hotel - but a requirement was to have a great pool; where the kids could have fun and we could just relax and getway. The 50+ feet and 9' deep was great. My kids were so exhausted net day they slept till noon. Comfortable and fun; great week end rate. SelfPark, there is plenty of street parking - bacuase only the hotel rates are weekend family friendly; all other prices and excecutive pricing.

Not what we expected

Booked a handicap room with a king bed (they told us they had them) when we arrived it had a queen bed. Told us they didn't have king beds in handicap rooms. Was told we could get a shuttle to the King Tut exhibit if we called 30 minutes before we wanted to leave when we went 30 minutes before they said it only run every hour and it had already run for that hour. So seems like everything we were told on the phone before we arrived was not true. To make this short I only told two things that happened. Also the air conditioning in the room was not working we called and they sent someone up and he said he had fixed it but it still didn't work and we called again and they said it had alread been fixed. Not. In short I would not stay at this hotel even if the rooms were free. (you can't sleep the room was too hot)

WOW!!! Very Impressed!!

I have worked in a 3 star property for almost 9 years now and I have to say that I have never stayed at a property where I did not find something wrong. I was so pleased when everyone you saw said hello and asked if we needed any help. I have never seen that kind of service at any other property I have stayed, and being in the industry, I can honestly say this was the best experience that I have ever had at any hotel! Thank you to all the staff for being so helpful and having the knowledge to help the guests with anything that they could possibly need!! Great job to everyone who works there!! The rooms were in excellent condition, very modern, very large compared to newer propertys.

Excellent Hotel

We went to see an arts exhibit, had the convenience of being able to walk the entire weekend. The hotel is located perfectly between the arts district and the west end. The Hotel staff was very helpful. The church was just down the block. I would recommeded to everyone and will definatley go back!!

Lovely, comfortable stay

What a lovely hotel, with lovely staff. We had the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on!! Will be making a call to find out the brand name of the matress. This was a beautiful hotel. The only downer was the 21.00 parking fee.
