Trip Type: Special Event Review 1 of 187Overwhelmed with Everything--Great Place to Stay
The employees were gladly waiting on guests to arrive. They greeted us in a very friendly and courteous manner. I will be back. The employees at the service desk were really nice also.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 2 of 187Best bang for your buck
If you're staying in Dallas there is no better bang for your buck. From the staff, to the restaurant/bar, to the rooms, you cannot beat The Fairmont Dallas.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 3 of 187Hotel within a hotel
Our stay at the Fairmont Dallas in the Fairmont Gold City View section was very nice. It included a "commons area" with breakfast and evening snacks with complimentary beverages and an honor bar open until 11 PM, and large screen TV (which was nice during the world series). Downside for me - even though the showers were very nice (rain fall shower heads) there are no bathtubs in this section of the hotel - something they don't tell you before checking in - so if you're looking to relax and soak in the tub - NOT the spot! Otherwise, service was good, beds comfy and rooms were very clean

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 4 of 187Needs Improvement
We've stayed in several Fairmont's around the country and I have to say, we were disappointed in the Fairmont Dallas. The rooms were small and the bathroom was exceptionally small and out of date. The toilet was one that you would find in a public restroom! YUCK! However, the service was great and the rooms were clean and the hotel was extremely quiet considering there were Halloween parties and Homecoming parties going on. There was also MAJOR road construction that was a big inconvenience, but that wasn't the hotels fault. Unfortunately, I doubt we will stay at this hotel again. I've stayed in several hotels in Dallas and this just wasn't worth the effort to sit in backed up construction traffic for hours and then relax in a room with a public restroom type bathroom! Not worth it!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 8 of 187Excellent Hotel
We stayed on the Gold Level. The Hostess was fantastic. The evening and morning foods were very good and lots of variety. We couldn't have asked for anything more or better. We have stayed in a total of 6 luxury hotels in the downtown area of Dallas and the Fairmont would have to come in at number 1.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 9 of 187Good Value - Comfortable Stay
The price we paid was a good deal -- thanks to hotels.com. Hotel is beautiful, room was really comfortable. We didn't upgrade to anything special or fancy but it was perfect for a place to come back and sleep or relax while visiting a new city. Best thing was the service from the reception desk and the concierge. They were very nice and seemed genuinely friendly and knew a lot about the area.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 10 of 187Fantastic Fairmont
The staff is extraordinarily friendly and accommodating. This hotel is going to be our new base when we travel to Dallas to visit friends and family. Great bed, loved the feather pillows, outstanding housekeeping service.

Staff was wonderful. Discounted room needed major updating. Not your typical Fairmont, so do not expect it. Lots of construction around hotel, so very difficult to get to. Dead part of downtown at night, so we didn't wander around.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 12 of 187Great Location
Stayed 2 nights. Walking distance to American Airlines Center, Uptown and many good restuarants and bars. New Dart Rail Green Line 4 Blocks. Great service and good pool area. This hotel is very convenient for all downtown destinations.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 15 of 187Fairmont was super...
This hotel is very nice...we checked in early without a proplem and our room was immaculate, the beds were fantastic. Room spotless. The only downside lack of dining options. We wanted a late lunch and couldn't find much in the hotel, but the Hard Rock & House of Blues are a 10min. walk. Additionally, we tried for room service late Sat. night...a one hour wait...due to Dallas Cowboy's home openner and UFC that night. Come on now...bump up that night shift...we were hungry!
