a real dump

Thin walls. No heat at night. Very old matress- lumpy. Bath tub didn't drain. Stains on carpet.

Needs Improvement

In the middle of a restoration. If you are going to sleep and gamble, it's a great bargin on the right days. If you want great food... consider another hotel. Dark Hallways. Employees are going through a bad time with being laid off for new staff. Management has great new ideas. Tough times for an old hotel.

Great for the price!

Expected less than we got. Upgraded room with a nice view of MGM/NYNY. Clean room and no bad smells. Overall very pleased especially for the price.

Good room for your money

If you are in Las Vegas and just need a place to stay without draining your pockets like the slots will then this is a good hotel to stay at.

Needs improvement

Check in was terrible. Lengthy process with only 2 personnel at the front desk. Ventilation and appearance not up to par with other bigger casinos in Vegas. I had paid in full for both rooms, then at check out was charged $9 per room for 'Resort Fee'. We called and we were informed that the fee was for the use of the pool and other accommodations they have at the Tropicana. Not impressed at all.

I apologize over the long check in. In our renovation process, we will have new ventilation systems as well as a state of the art casino. I hope you visit us again in spring 2010 when the renovations are complete.

Great for the Money

Not the Bellagio, but for what we paid, it was very nice. We stayed in the Island Tower (3 rooms), and nobody had complaints about them. I was apprehensive because of some of the reviews I had read, but it turned out to be a very nice stay.

Great location

This hotel may be a bit older and not too fancy but it has everything you need and a great location for a great price. It's not fancy but at least you dont have to walk a mile through the casino to get to your room. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you need a good room for cheap.
