Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 160Not convienent to Convention Center
We booked the hotel because according to the search it was close to the convention center. Only if you are a bird and able to fly over the interstate is it close. Standard hotels rooms are much nicer and this "one bedroom" condo had a view to the elevator. A bit disappointing, we checked out after 3 hours to move to a hotel closer to the convention center.

Excellent value and superior service - beyond our expectations. The staff were helpful, and the grounds were very well maintained.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 160Great place to stay
What a beautiful resort! From check in to check out, the service was great. It was conveniently located near Universal and the Convention Area. Our room was very clean and well supplied. We'll be back. Thanks Hotels.com!

Trip Type: Business Review 12 of 160decent room for the money
the hotel was not within walking distance of the convention center as promised however for the price it was decent. the room had a 1970's feel to it and the large complex in which it was located was filled with noisy families - as it probably should be, but was not entirely condusive for a business stay - especially the Internet costs which were ten dollars an hour

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 160Great Value
I was able to get this room for a very reasonable price, and was worried that perhaps I'd be "getting what I paid for" and be less than pleased with the level of service. My first impression was that the check-in area was crowded and obtaining room keys and registration took a bit too long. However, the woman assisting us with registration was very accomodating, and offered us a variety of room choices across the many different locaitons & buildings on the campus of the resort. In the end she was able to find us a lake view room right next to the pool, which was lovely in the morning at sunrise. The room was clean & the spacious jacuzzi tub and shower were a nice feature. The decor was outdated--seemed to be a late '80's or early '90's kind of feel--but as I was not particularly concerned with asthetics, this did not bother me. The bed was clean & comfortable and we found that having the kitchenette was very convenient so we could keep beverages & small food items. Obtaining Wi-Fi internet service was complicated, as it could not just be charged to the room, and I had to re-enter billing information each day. The staff were very helpful and polite, but the housekeeping group was very loud when cleaning in the next villa, and it made it difficult to rest between the hours of 11am and 3pm. If they would have closed the door while cleaning I think this would have helped with noise, but for some reason they left it open. The on-site Pizza Hut delivery and convenience store came in handy for us, but the pizza wasn't very good. Overall I would rate our stay at Westgate Resort an 8 out of 10. We are definitely considering returning again, as it is conveniently located near Disney, Universal and Sea World and we had a good experience there.

Trip Type: Business Review 14 of 160Good for the money!
Upon reading the other comments I was a little bit nervous about choosing this hotel. However when I got there I was very happy I made the decision to stay there. I had a studio room and it was beautiful! I didn't have any major problems except the bed was a little hard and the sheets didn't fit so I had to keep adjusting them. The only complaint I have is with security. They were not very friendly, and whipped around the parking lot on golf carts. No one bothered me about a time share, and overall it was a very nice place. I would stay there again!

Trip Type: Business Review 15 of 160towels
overall the room and the amenities were good. I rented the studio. very good size, easily fits 2 couples ( sofa bed in room). the only bad part was the last night of my stay I saw a dirty towel nicely folded with all the others. for the price and the hotel being a resort close to everything its ok. next time ill just check towels a little closer....
