Great basic hotel, good location and nice pool

Really didn't expect much for the price. Yes it's old, yes the rooms could use updating. Free wifi, good size pool with an 8 ft section (not found much anymore) hot tub. Each room has a balcony. Stayed here for Phish 8 would stay here for Coachella too.

Dated but Clean and Cheap

I just stayed here for 3 nights, it was the same price as my friends stay at the Ace for 1 night. I, like many others in PS pool jumped all weekend. The only time i used the room was to sleep. It is a pretty vintage looking hotel fromthe outside with that old hawaii/palmssprings feel to it.The inside of the room was very big and had a private patio. The rooms were very clean and smelled normal. Free internet and a free breakfast make this a great bargain and I am returning.

outstanding hotel

Was very quiet and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast buffet had a great selection.

one small problem

We had no problem at all with the hotel and its location, our problem came when we checked in. The person in charge had not looked at our reservation (which we had made about a month in advance) and gave our room we had requested with 2 queen beds to someone else, the people she gave it to acutally wanted a king, which we got instead. My advice would be to call in advance and make sure they know exactly what you want. Otherwise I would say this is a good hotel to stay at.

Cheap price, nice accommodations

It's not the Ritz, but you're not paying for the Ritz. Friendly late night staff checked us in after 1 a.m.; bed was comfortable enough; breakfast was more than adequate (no huge crowd like the other reviews we read). Would I stay here for a week? Maybe, maybe not, but for a night, it was more than sufficient.

Great room for the money

I'm really looking forward to staying at The Royal Inn when I visit Palm Springs again. It was a great rate with an outstanding room with a fantastic view!

Good value and good airconditioning with a thermostat to control the temperature.

Good room for the money

Better than average motel at a good rate in a high price area. Motel appeared to be a bit understaffed. Elevator for upper floors is a definite plus.
