Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 22Ok Stay
The room was very nice and very clean. Not sure that the beds were actually queens. They appeared to be the next size down. Also it seemed like the air conditioning wasn't working. It never cooled down. We had to leave the windows open all night.

Nice room. The SkyBar made for a noisy Saturday night. Area is a little iffy. But price was good and comfort was excellent. Might not stay again, however, because of the neighborhood.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 22Temporary complimentary brkfst buffet is huge bonus!
We really enjoyed our stay. The "temporary complimentary brkfst buffet" was a huge bonus. With a family, we always try to stay where we can eat brkfst. as part of the deal without breaking the pocket book. This is a great concept for larger hotels to use to attract more families to come stay. We hope the temporary becomes permanent! We will be back if that is the case.

The rooms were nice and clean but the rest of the Hotel looked a little tired and could use some renovating.

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 22not open pool
Before I make a reservation this hotel for 3nights(Apr. 4-7), I shown the hotel's pool and I thougt it's nice. However, When I go there, the pool are not opened. My family too much complained to me. I can't not stand it. so, I decide to early check out this hotel after I called your company(hotel.com). My son, He likes play the swimming. I misunderstood it while I made a reservation as just as see this pictures. This is occur to me make a mistake. Finally, due to my early check-out, I should have to pay some penalty for it. On the side, I am a victim too. Thank you....

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 22Staff needs training
This is a long review but please at least read the last part to see why the staff needs training. I recently stayed at the Downtown Red Lion in Salt Lake City. I have stayed there in the past and enjoyed my stay. This time however was probably the worst and most uncomfortable stay I have ever had at a hotel. The first night I was in the room was ok. I tried to walk out on my "balcony" to enjoy the view and found that my door was jammed shut. Other then that I had a relaxing night. (I came down with a cold that day and just wanted to rest) The next morning I woke up and felt a little warm in the room. I turned on my AC and took a shower. When I got out of the shower I noticed the room was even warmer. I placed my hand up to the vent and felt warm air coming out. I called down to the front desk and explained what was going on and also let them know about the sliding door. The lady at the front desk (after a big sigh) told me she would send maintance up to my room. When he got there he made some mention that something was jammed and would have to come back to fix it. He forced my sliding glass door open to let some air in to the room because it was so hot in there that he "felt like passing out". I was told that if he could not fix the AC he would bring a cooling unit to my room. I went and spent the day with my family and when I got back to the room, in the middle of the entry way was a small desk top fan. This apparently is the cooling unit he spoke of. I called back down to the front desk and asked if they knew if my AC was fixed. I also let her know that I could not close the sliding door (which was left open all day). The new lady was much nicer and sent some one up to my room again. This was about seven in the evening. The new maintance man came up said everything looked ok with my AC and also put some WD 40 on my windows track so that I could open and close it with ease. I went to bed shortly after as I wanted to wake up early for my drive home in the morning. M

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 22Sleepless night
I could not get any air to circulate in the room... the thermostat did not have any influence on any movement. If I could not open the glass doors to allow some circulation, I was prepared to go to the lobby and request a different room. I was very unsatisfied and happy to leave . The bus service to the airport was very good.
