A decent hotel with nice rooms

This hotel is not located near the Dallas airport, so expect a little bit of a drive. Their shuttle stops running at 11pm, so a late flight like mine does not allow for a pick up. After checking in, I went downstairs in search of a vending machine with water bottles. I was 10 steps off of the elevator when the kid behind the concierge desk hollered out to me, "Bar's closed!" I thought that was charming. And no...no water bottles. My room was very decent with a comfortable bed and a large flat screen television. The fridge and microwave are a perk if you're staying longer than one night.

elegante!!!

This is a very nice hotel.. I loved that we got free breakfast buffet, I came with my family and that was very convinient. The pool looks awsome in the evening. it was work the price, will recommend.

Why is this rated 3 stars??

I wonder why this hotel/motel (not kidding about the motel part, cabana anyone?)is rated 3 stars?? Even funnier, the hotels website puts themselves at 4!! Here is a fine analogy of the "Hotel Elegante": You order a seeming perfect grade A steak for $90 (Ballpark) at a fine dining establishment. You wait 35min for it to cook (airport pickup). When the meal finally arrives, you get excited. You pick up your fork and knife in anticipation, get ready to carve in this masterpiece, and.....its made of cheap plastic!! Completely hollowed out on the inside!!! No Meat!! Ahhh! You call the waiter over, but no response (room phone broken). Maybe you can eat some of this bread until he comes back, but no, its crusty (cable channels all fuzzy). You finally summon the waiter and now you understand, Welcome to Motel Elegante!

NICE HOTEL

You will like this hotel

I booked this room for two nights when I arrived no one could find my information so I had to wait ten minutes until a room was found for me. The room was not what I had requested and it had a sour smell in it. But the next day I was switched to a better room, one that I asked for. So over all things went pretty well. I only tolerated the first room because I really like this hotel and I visit it every week.

Decent

The hotel had a weird smell in the hallway when I arrived. The room was pretty good though. Great bed, pretty clean, great TV. The hotel staff was pretty accomodating and friendly as well. I would most likely stay there again. The location was pretty good, but great access to 35.

Not quite three star

I got a good deal on this suite room 2 queen beds and separate sitting room. So it was a nice big room, but that's about all the good I have to say about it. The bathroom was run down. The outside of the hotel was run down. The staff was only ok. The included braekfast was only for two guests even though there was four booked for the room. The staff decided it would be a good idea to clean carpets on the first floor at 0800 on Sunday morning and block off the only inside entrance from my outside entrance pool-side cabana room. I usually stay in 2 star hotels so I really expected more.

Wonderful Hotel for the money we spent!

We happened to catch the hotel on a 45% off special but it was a wonderful place even at that. It was elegant and the staff was very nice and helpful. The complimentary breakfast buffet was more than what we expected- exceptional range of food and juices. It was far from your standard buffet. Bravo. The separate coffee island in the room was very nice. And the Bath and Body Works soaps and shampoo goes above a standard hotel; at least from a ladies point of view. ( my husband was impressed too... and that is hard to do sometimes!)

Needs improvement

Hotel needs to be better maintained.Bathroom door knob was about to fall off & ceiling over bath tub was falling in.Found huge "water bug" in bath tub on initial entry.Carpet was extremely dirty & walking around bare foot attested to that.T.V. was very difficult to navigate through.Restaurant crew was very rude & inattentive unless you were Hispanic.Little did they know that both my wife & I are fluent in Spanish so we knew what they were saying about us. Room was very comfortable & roomy.Slept well & very little outside noise.Location was good as well.

Great for the Money

Great Hotel for the Price. Had a problem with the door card, someone came right up, no problems. Everyone was very nice. The Breakfast Buffet was a nice benefit every morning. Good Food! We wpuld stay again if we would ever go to Dallas again.

Nasty

Rooms were old and the paint was nasty. Def not a 4star more of a motel 6.

Can't beat the price!

Excellent location while we attended the Mavericks game!
