Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 33Terrific Service
From the moment we checked in our expectations were exceeded - we were upgraded to a nicer room (before they even knew it was our anniversary) and the valet and concierge were incredibly helpful. The location is okay and good for going to some nice restaurants in the area and within walking distance of Robson Street shopping; however, if we were going to do it over, we might stay at the Westin in the marina b/c the location is fabulous, right next to Stanley Park.

Everything was outstanding in this hotel. In this era, NOT having free internet in the room is ridiculous. It can't be a bandwidth issue since studies have shown most people don't use it. Since telephone service is not a revenue stream anymore, they're just trying to make money via the internet access. Many of my colleagues will be boycotting these hotels that charge for internet.

This hotel is conveniently located in downtown Vancouver with easy access to all transit and activities. The hotel staff was very polite and helpful with everything. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was very nice, the major problem I had was the cost of breakfast $46 and the price of parking $26 a day. I would not stay in this hotel again due to these extra cost.

Our hotel room was spacious and luxurious. The bed was so comfortable I could have stayed in it all day each day of my visit. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay there again when in Vancouver.

The location was great, and within easy walking distance to downtown, Gastown and Yaletown. The corner room arrangement was nice, as well as the kitchenette. However, the Heavenly bed was not "Heavenly"; the comfort was on top and not underneath ones' body. Also, having stayed five nights, we requested a three hour courtesy check-out; they wanted to charge for one and one-half hours of this time. We are still in search of a better bed.

Trip Type: Romance Review 12 of 33Great hotel at a great price
I chose this hotel based on the majority of positive reviews, and I do not have a single regret. There are one or two negative reviews, but I honestly can not relate to them. The room was very clean, super comfortable, had amazing views of the city and the mountains, and I found it to be within easy walking distance to Yaletown and the Robson shopping area.

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 33Good location
The hotel location was reasonable...it was on the far end of Robson Street so you had to walk several blocks to reach main shopping/dining areas. We have stayed at Westin in the past (usually Hawaii) and were disappointed with service and cleanliness of this location. I guess it is the difference between a resort and city destination. I will probably try other hotels before I go back here.

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 33Best Hotel Stay in Years
The Westin Grand Vancouver was absolutely amazing. My girlfriend and I locked up a discounted rate over Valentines Weekend and were blessed with the top floor of their executive suite. The windows from feet to ceiling were incredible. The view overlooking the city, and skyline was a rare treat. In the afternoon we received complimentary voss water and fruit, and every morning we racked up hot food from the kitchen and the continental breakfast for free. The service at the Aria restaurant was the best I've had in quite some time. I really can't say enough for this hotel, and would highly recommend anyone who's even considering it.

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 33great room for the money
I was a little sad that our balcony had a view of a cement wall and uncut shrubby, but that might have been due to the fact that it was valentines day and the hotel was completely full. Otherwise, hotel was very clean. Did have one problem with one person on the staff, at one point they didn't think my boyfriend stayed in the hotel because he had forgotten his room key & i needed to come to his rescue.
