Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 31Never again
the hot tub was broken, you can hear evrything that goes on in the room next to you loud and clear, hotels workers slamming doors, the people next door were slamming doors my son was scared all night due to this and the concrete on the balcony was all cracked like it was going to break. I'll never stay here again!!

Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 31Good room for the money
I was not too happy with the ocean view rooms that my parents and my sister had but the room on the side that I had was way better. Service is good enough. Couldn't get beach towels and no ice machine worked.

The facility is old, which is typical of the area. They were continuing with Maintenance & Repairs, but they should have been moving faster with these, especially since it was off season. There were things in the room that should have already been replaced. Good room rate so they charged extra for everything they could (Parking/Internet). There are plenty of newer, more expensive places in the area. If you expect, and pay, for the best of everything, choose another hotel. Great 10' deep pool & deck. All rooms beach view.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 31Get what you pay for
The price is cheap so you get what you pay for. Unfortunately while we stayed there, there was an electrical fire on the third floor so it's hard to recommend the place (they gave us 50% off our stay to make up for it). The cons are the following: -the carpet, beds, furniture all feel kind of dingy -the hallways and elevator smell -they take pets but there is no grass The pros: -nice pool deck--a huge pool -all rooms have an ocean view, if not ocean front -many have more than just a minifridge/microwave -the staff is nice -plenty of parking -across the street from dennys and red lobster and a block away from a grocery store and walgreens -the breakfast is your typical cereal, bagels, and danishes -there are grills available on the pool deck -a game room for kids

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 31Run-down and dirty hotel
We had a room with stains on the carpet, smelled musty, the bed was saggy and way past its prime. Large holes near the bathroom fixtures, gaps in the carpet showing poor installation. Unwelcoming front-desk personnel. The final insult: they charge you $5 per day to park in their parking lot. I guess they don't care about repeat customers, just about nickle-and-diming you while you are there.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 31Will not return
I booked 2 rooms and one room was in total disrepair. The door to the balcony would not open, which we paid extra for, my husband had to finally get tools from the truck and repair the door himself. The toilet had to be flushed by filling the coffee pot carafe with water, and when I went for a shower at 8:00 PM I was told there were no laundered towels which is why there were none in our room. The beds are extremely uncomfortable and it is obvious that there has been no money invested in property repairs in years. The location and the great pool are not enough to stay there again.

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 31pros and cons
pros: great location for shops and food. Directly on the beach and a nice pool. Tiki bar on the weekend with music and drink specials. cons:old and in need of a deep cleaning and paint. Terrible bed and pillow. If only spending a night or two at the beach then it is fine. Would rather spend a little more for a little more comfort.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 31Should not be considered a resort
The hotel had no business calling itself a resort. The tiki bar was only opened for a couple of hours one afternoon after being there a week. You were scalded while in the shower and another room flushed the toilet. The ice machine sounded like a jet engine taking off, the elevators stunk, and the staff (especially the front desk) had personalities of a wet mop. They get you with the $5.00 a day parking fee. We will never stay there again.

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 31Find another hotel
The person at the front was very rude (to others as I waited). A second came to help and was obviously embarrassed by her workmate's attitude. It took two people to push the room door open, it was stuck so badly. The overall maintenace of the room/hotel is horrible. I would not recommend you try this hotel.

The hotel has a great view of the ocean, but the rooms were not very clean. There was a hole in the wall, the microwave and the iron does not work, the bathroom not very clean, the pillows were so thin. They get you with a parking fee, which is charged on a per day basis. I do not remember seeing this at the hotel.com website when I was making the reservation.
