Beautiful Hotel- Great Stay

We spent two nights at The Ion and would not hesitate to recommend it to others. The property itself is really beautifully done. To be honest, for the rate we paid we didn't expect the quality of the building and of the staff. We were pleasantly surprised! Our stay was not without a hitch or two, but the staff dealt with it immediately and pleasantly. We did not have dinner at Voice, the hotel restaurant, but we did have a very tasty (also pricey) breakfast. If you stay, make sure to check out some of the neighborhood restaurants. We had several memorable meals within a one block walk of the hotel.

We would stay again

Really great hotel. Staff was super, including the valet. Super location in an older section of Houston that has been refurbished. Restaurant & Bar were a little pricey, but money well spent.

Not your run of the mill hotel

Uniquely decorated, luxurious, friendly and courteous staff. Great value, I'd stay there again in a heartbeat. Doesn't hurt that it's right on the Main Street metro-rail. Very convenient.

Fantastic stay

The Icon couldn't be in a better area of Downtown Houston. Elegant colors, plenty of amenities, & excellent spa services. The details make this hotel a cut above the rest.

We loved it...

The hotel was very nice. All of the staff were nice and helpful, including valets, doormen, desk clerks, housekeeping and bellmen. They were very quick to serve and helpful when we needed directions. Our room was very nice and clean, but they gave us the handicapped room. The view from our window was of other buildings' rooftops, but that's alright. I liked that we had a seperate bath and shower and makeup mirror in the bathroom. Everything was great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
