Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 17Pleasant Place to Stay
This hotel is a very unique place to stay with a calmness atmosphere. Our stay was superb, rooms were clean and comfortable to stay in. I was extremely impressed with a front desk personnel name Julie. Very friendly, compassionate, informative and helpful. She recommend places to see in the French Quarters, believe me all the places she suggested we had a blast. Her customer service was beyond the call of duty! We were impressed with her abilities interacting with guest, always smiling and helpful. Definitely will make another pit stop at the International Hotel very soon!

Room was smaller than a motel six, approximately 10x10, parking was $30.00 per night.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 17Great hotel, great value in a wonderful city
This hotel is very trendy and in an excellent location. The hotel is just a block outside the French Qrt. Meaning you have a quick walk to all the places you might want to visit while not suffering the noise of the crowds outside. The hotel is trendy and the service was friendly. The price of this hotel was exceptional.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 17so, so
the room was okay, but the bathroom shower head was not the greatest, also they have gone "green" and do not furnish bar soap - the sample bottles of "body cleanser" was not convenient. the room was very quiet, and wireless internet service was good. for the most part the staff was very curteous, but they contract their valet parking and I had to wait over 30 minutes for my car on check out and the valet driver was a jerk to put it mildly.

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 17Very nice hotel just outside the French Quarter
We just got back (March '09) from a vacation to New Orleans. I was a bit worried about the hotel being "outside" the french quarter; but it is only 1 block away - which in many ways is an advantage. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and nice. Had a great time, and part of that was due to the International Hotel.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 17Great location, nice atmosphere, friendly staff
Hotel staff was great, rooms are clean. Was there for Mardi Gras, and the parade route is half a block away, so if you want total peace and quiet why are you going to New Orleans for Mardi Gras? Rooms get dark and quiet, though, so that's fine. Booking through this site, they gave me two free drinks as well, and upgraded my room. After I checked out, I left my iPhone charger in the room, and they had the maid go up and get it for me. Very pleasant.

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 17Nice hotel - the cheap rooms are really tiny
It's a nice hotel with a great location. However, the staff is a bit clueless and if you go with a cheap room, you will get a super small room.

Trip Type: Family Review 14 of 17Really nice first class hotel
The good: Comfortable bed with high quality sheets and duvet. Remodeled bathroom with 6' tub Free wifi everywhere in hotel Friendly staff willing to go the extra mile Congenial bar in the lobby Great location 5-10 minutes walk to French Quarter The bad: Rooms are quite small Construction on a building next door could pose a noise problem for some. I paid very, very little on a last minute purchase on Hotels.com. My son and his fiance booked in advance on the hotel website and paid four times as much. Bravo, Hotels.com. If you want to place this hotel's location on a map, it's just down the street from the Sheraton on a quiet side street. 5 or 10 minutes walk across Canal Street to the French Quarter. I liked this hotel very much. Not luxury, but high first class all the way. It's an older hotel, but with nicely remodeled rooms (though quite small), nice furnishings. Great beds. My son and his fiance complained of noise from the all-night construction generators next door. I just thought it was loud air conditioning. it didn't bother me. Anyway, the hotel moved them to a huge penthouse suite at no charge. It's typical of this hotel. Very friendly desk help, willing to do whatever it takes to make you happy. There's an upscale, very congenial bar in the lobby and a new, Spanish Tapas Restaurant next door. Excellent food, but pricey.

This hotel was nice and clean. The atmosphere was just fantastic. Close to the French Quarter, malls, aquarium, movie theaters, etc... I would highly recommend this hotel. Definitely got more than our moneys worth.
