Smoking/No Smoking

The room was most definitely a "Smoking" room. The smell was not appealing. Other than that the room was clean and my stay was pleasant. Also I like that there was a large shower and no tub in the bathroom. These make more sense and are just easier.

Prefer Palomar

I stayed hear because of a deep discount. The pillows are awesome, but other than that, I prefer the Palomar a couple blocks away. Hilton rooms are noisier, not as recently updated, but perfectly serviceable. I did not like having to ring the bell to be let through the locked door at 1 in the morning, but others might like that security.

the hotel needs improvement and it could be a fanstastic experince.

Needs some improveent to room amenities

Nice looking hotel, very charming and helpful staff, but small room, no hair drier, and exceptionally soft bed.

Excellent Location

great hotel, awesome location, just a small walk 2-4 minutes) from the Dupont Circle metro station. Great neighborhood to walk, lots of restaurants nearby, which is a big plus, because breakfast at the hotel is so expensive that you'll laugh! Will stay there again!

Nonsmoking room

Several times coming into my nonsmoking room I smelled cigarette smoke. Don't know where it came from, but the stairwell just outside of my room smelled of smoke...maybe went thru the vents.

Convenient Location but issues

Had a 3 night stay but even checking in early couldn't get the room requested when booking the reservation. Had to change rooms for night 2 and 3. Hotel had 3 elevators, one locked down for service use only, the other was down for repair, leaving only 1 older style elevator. Long waits! Cola vending on selected floors but consistently out of water, and some ice machines were out of ice as well. Good location, but an older hotel with some problems.
