Great Hotel...

This was a great hotel, and every inexpensive. The breakfast however, was not the greatest. Other than that, the location was great, pool was clean, and the hotel was a great stay. I would stay there again.

great room, if you don't plan to cook

We had a corner efficiency, so the views were fantastic (extra windows).We were not pleased with these things...the kitchen was unacceptable. There was absolutley no counter space to prepare anything and also no place to set (or plug in) the toaster or coffeemaker. Let's talk about the pool area...no shade, no umbrellas, globs of long hair in the pool, and algae buildup on the sides. (only one of the filter jets were working). The jacuzzi had lots of foam which means it needed some chemicals. I DID like that the pool was not real deep at one end.

Great location, good service, bad breakfast

The hotel is right on the beach, ocean view from the balcony is great. Service was good, but make sure you have your own food for breakfast.

Service?

I should begin this review saying that overall our vacation was great. When we arrived the staff was not friendly at all. Extremely rude and refused to let me read the contract I was signing. After the mess of checking in a few of the staff members were not excited to be at work. On multiple occasions we would ask the hotel staff for recommendations on local restaurants and attractions. After a quick recommendation some of the staff members felt the need to complain about their job. The hotel is very minimal and doesn't offer much. The breakfast in the morning only serves juice, bad coffee, and gas station pastries. I am still unsure if I would return again. I would recommend to the staff to work on hospitality and customer service. Be careful when staying at this establishment.

Very satisfied

I was pleasantly greeted by attentive personnel. The Hotel was quiet, even though I had a room between both elevator shafts. It was surprisingly quiet at all times of the night. Enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to friends.

Great Hotel

We got a room with 2 queens beds and a full kitchen with a balcony overlooking the pool and ocean. The room was great. The beds are actually really comfortable! The view from the balcony was awesome. The kitchen was nice and suited our needs, but it did not have an oven. House keeping was extremely polite and even gave us two extra welcome packages (which by the way are really nice, not just your typical shampoo and conditioner in one and a bar of soap) We had a problem with the shower draining properly but plumbing came very quickly, fixed it, and we never had a problem again. The front desk staff is extremely nice and helpful. We had car trouble on the way down there and the front desk lady recommended a local mechanic that she uses and even printed up directions for us and gave us the name of the mechanic that knows her which made things go very smoothly. The location of the hotel is great. It's just a mile from several grocery stores and drug stores. And only 3 miles to the ocean walk village area, with several resturaunts, a movie theatre, pier, and coffee shops.

good deal for the money

We had a large clean room and nice pool area. The pool deck did get extremely hot so you had to wear sandals. Danish offered in the am were lousey. I would definitely stay again.

Needs Improvement

Room view was excellent, Shower had no pressure and stayed there two nights 3 days, and received no not 1 new clean towel. Used same 3 towels for 3 days. Continental Breakfast consisted of 2 pots of coffee and 10 or 12 donuts. Need to vamp up Hotel Services and Continental Breakfast offering or stop offering at all. Need a lounge or cafe on the premises for eating. Possibly some games in the game room for children. May even consider a better vending machine supplier due to lack of choices in the vending machines

Wonderful, beautiful, comfortable, will continue to stay at particular hotel with each Daytona beach visit

Nice views, fast elevators but bed sheets need to be updated from the sixties (not very comfortable)

Great deal for the money

Staying down in Florida for bikeweek, I was aware that rates were going to be high, and a "discount" hotel would likely sacrifice quality or features as a result. I was pleasantly surprised that there were rooms available for a VERY good rate with above par accomodations and ammeneties for the money. I would highly recommend this hotel in the future to anyone staying in the Daytona Beach area and not willing to pay a premium for the "5 star" hotels near Main Street.
