Anniversary Get Away Weekend

We wanted somewhere that was no more than one or two hours from Jacksonville, and we wanted to be on the beach. The Emerald Shores Resort hotel was in our price range and location. Although it is nothing fancy it is clean, comfortable, peaceful and quiet; which is exactly what we were looking for. The only negative comment we had was the continental breakfast needs improving and the complimentary toiletries was not sufficient (lucky for us we brought our own). But inspite of all that we would return as guests, the staff was courteous and friendly.

Nice place for a quick get away

If you simply want a place to land with access to the beach, this is it. Room was small, but clean and more up to date than other places in the area. No fee was charged for parking. The only complaint we had was that the website was a little misleading, as it said there was a free breakfast involved. The breakfast was only available for two hours, so not convenient for those who sleep past nine, and consisted of coffee, orange juice, and pre-packaged pastries. If you need something more substantial, you will have to be in one of their efficiencies and cook for yourself,or drive to a nearby restraunt.

Good Quality for the money

Hotel was very nice for the money and much nicer than surrounding properties.

An OK stay

Stayed on 7/2/09. Hotel was adequate, but nothing stellar. They advertised a breakfast. But the only thing they had was coffee and pastries that looked like they were from Sam's Club. The view was great, however, from the room. The room was clean but somewhat dated. So all in all, it was an adequate stay.

Great room for the money

My husband and I stayed for anniversary at Emerald Shores and we both agreed it would be a place to stay again. The staff were very friendly and the room was nice. The only problem that I would comment on was the breakfast-it was not what I would call a continental breakfast; and our ac was a little loud making it hard to hear the tv. We just turned the the volume up on our tv.

Will stay again

good hotel, Only one problem with the trip. we booked a king room for our get away, figuring it would be cozy, we got there and all kings were booked so we got stuck with a room with two beds. For our type of get away it wasnt what we wanted. We got stuck in a smaller bed with a bunch of wasted space. The room was nice and staff was helpful. If you get the room you want there should be no problems.

Wonderful hotel

The hotel was very nice for the price. I have stayed there twice now and it was very pleasant both times. Clean rooms and friendly staff. The internet was a bit tricky, it worked well when it was dark and rainy. Beautiful view of the ocean. Well worth the stay would always stay there.

Hotel was okay...

Upon arriving I thought the hotel room I booked was a kitchenette suite; however the room I got only had the microwave & a small fridge (no plateware/utensils) which was a little unexpected (we brought our own food in)but we managed. It sounded like we got 'bumped' to this room as another guest decided to stay an extra night in the kitchenette suite. The room was quiet nice and clean though. The morning coffee was not plentiful (had a tour group in) and there were no trays in our room so we could grab coffee and head out (we made due w/an ice bucket tho). It was an okay experience...I would give it another try if I'm out that way again.

Needs to be cleaned

Floors in hall ways and rooms dirty tile grout stained and not clean should be much cleaner for a hotel thats only 4 yrars old

Great hotel!

Our stay at Emerald Shores was great! We were right on the beach and had an AWESOME view!!! The room was sensational... we even had a fully equipped kitchen:) I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and my fiance and I will return again in the near future!

nice hotel on fabulous beach

I reserved this room on-line and was very pleased from the covered hotel enterance, friendly desk clerk, clean lobby to our well appointed room. We enjoyed our stay and wished we could have taken advantage of the pool area and great beach but it was cold during our stay. I would definitely recomend this hotel and the value for the price was a bonus! only negative comment was that there was no toilet paper to be had anywhere in the room!

Awesome

Me and my girlfriend got a last minute hotel for her birthday and it was awesome. The price was perfect and it was right on the beach. I wouldnt have had it any other way.
