Fantastic Hotel

This hotel has not done a good enough job promoting their newly renovated rooms. The suite my wife and I stayed in was fantastic. The staff were all very friendly and the location was perfect for anyone interested in shopping and entertainment at the Plaza across the street.

Impeccable Service

The management and staff at the Raphael provide personal service beyond what we've received -- even at other 4 and 5 star hotels. I stayed here for 3 weeks and was never disappointed. This historic hotel is being lovingly restored inobtrusively -- the rooms and suites are classic, comfortable and fully equipped for business or relaxation.

comfortably elegant

I stay here for extended periods for work and it is wonderful - remodeled rooms in a historic hotel with access to the pool and gym at the intercontinental right next door. Personal service, fairly priced.

OMG were we pleasantly surprised!

The pictures on the site do not do the quality of our room. The food was top notch. We have already told our friends to try this wonderful hotel on their trip to K.C.....And we'll are planning to go back at Christmas time.

Better than expected!

Stayed for a conference across the street because my conference block was unavailable. Got a much better price using hotels.com than the hotel next door, and had a much better room! Very charming, well decorated room with far more amenities than I was expecting for the price (thick hotel robes, iron with steamer, 2 microfridges, flatscreen tv, free wifi, 2 complimentary newspapers per day, large soaking tub, etc). Will plan to return here for next year's conference. Easy walking distance to CC Plaza.

charming

Charming hotel. Feels elegant - personalized service - very nice redone rooms with super clean bathrooms. A real treat from corporate owned hotels.

Photos show nothing, exceeded expectations

The photos on hotels.com are Very out of date! This place is a beautiful, modern historic hotel in very close walking distance to the shopping Plaza. Everyone was really friendly and had lots of recommendations. The only thing I had a complaint about was the amount of noise in my room directly next to the lobby check in. Just be sure not to stay there and your hotel stay will be excellent.
