Trip Type: Special Event Review 1 of 34Nice hotel, small suites
We booked and stayed at this hotel as part of our credited free stay in Dallas for our adoption. It was a good location, but the suite was very small and the extra service marginal. You have to valet park your car. Our parents stayed in a cheaper hotel just around the corner and practically had a condo. Their room had a kitchen, sitting area and LCD TV instead of a small 1980's TV like in our hotel. As you can imagine, we used their hotel as the meeting grounds. Was this a good hotel, it was okay, but not worth the asking price. Oh yeah, the bed was very good if you like sleeping on a firm, hard slab.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 3 of 34Wonderful!
We had a lovely stay at Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek and are anxious for our next visit. I happened to be on crutches during our stay, and the staff went above and beyond to assist me. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a tray of ice tea and a lemon tart. Breakfast on the patio was superb. The hotel and the grounds were beautiful and very nicely restored. We were sad to discover that our own bed was not as comfortable as the one at the mansion. Rosewood absolutely went the extra mile to ensure that we had a fantastic stay.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 4 of 34We had a bad room.
The Mansion is a great hotel and the service is always top notch,. However, our recent stay was marred by a bad room. The temperature in Dallas was over 100 degrees We had room 119 on the first floor. The hallways were very warm and this room had only one air conditioning vent--over the bed facing the windows. The dressing area and bath were behind the bedroom just inside the door and had no air vents. Needless to say, the dressing areas and bath were hot as hell. After complaining, we were given a 24 inch box fan--cheap and ugly--but effective. This room also had not been updated in some time and the furniture was looking a litttle dowdy. We were quite surprised as this has always been a very elegant hotel with great location and service. We will have to think about whether we will stay here again.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 5 of 34my favorite hotel
The Mansion on Turtle Creek has long been one of my favorite hotels. I have stayed at 5 star hotels everywhere in the world and the Mansion is one of the most pleasant. For visits to Dallas - we visit family - we find it a peaceful oasis from urban bustle. The treetops and red-tiled roofs we see from our window always remind me of the Aventine Hill of Rome. The staff is invariably pleasant and accommodating and the restaurant and room service is top quality. The pool is a refuge for us and our grandchildren - very much a vacation from the usual.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 6 of 34First Class Service
I've never been treated so special in my life! After I arrived and was settling into my room, room service arrived with a tray with a lemon tart and passion tea with a note from the manager welcoming me to the hotel! Anytime I needed a cab anywhere within a five-mile radius, the hotel car drove me! Felt like a queen the entire weekend....the door was always opened for me, I was greeted by every person working there, and was even given a iced bottle of water after my run and before my drive home! Impeccable Service! Loved the coffee table in the morning and in the afternoon with cookies and iced latte!

Trip Type: Special Event Review 8 of 34Overpriced outdated
The hotel was great except for the guest room. It was outdated and had a tiny TV that was from the 80's. It wasn't worth a third of what it costs to visit.

"The Mansion" is truly a great American hotel. The price we paid at Hotels.com was a steal. This hotel has some of the finest service you will find and everyone is very friendly. The location is great and you feel very pampered by the staff.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 14 of 34Wow!
What a wonderful weekend. The hotel is within walking distance of numerous great restaurants and shopping. Arrived during the Christmas Holidays and there was a choir singing in the lobby with wine service and egg nog. The room had a beautiful balcony and the bathroom was fit for a king. This was just a regular room, not a suite or deluxe room. Upon arrival, the maid came in with bathrooms, turn down service and filled the ice bucket and left pumpkin tarts. Everyone calls you by name and is more than willing to go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. The hotel is truly 5 star!
