Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 18Great experience
We went to New Orleans without having any idea of what to expect. We were hoping to be close to the French Quarter and the riverfront and this hotel was in the perfect location. It was on a quieter street, yet very convenient to everything. The room was fabulous. It was very clean, decorated nicely, and had the most comfortable bed. We would definiely stay here again if we went back to NOLA.

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 18Most Comfortable Bed - Ever !!!..
Underground parking is a minus, however, only because the ramp is about as narrow as you could possibly allow. Not the easiest to maneuver, esp. with larger vehicles. Location is a positive, just a block away from the swanky Roosevelt !!!

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 18Outstanding Hotel
My husband and I needed a get away for our anniversary. So, we shopped online for a room. We found the Barone Plaza. When driving up I thought we had been scamed, because it looked like the hotel was shut down and abandoned. Due to going by the picture that was online. Of course, I was wrong. There was just some remodeling going on!! We went into the lobby, which was BEAUTIFUL. We got our room keys paid our parking which was only $22.60. It was underground parking, which the entrance was weird, but good. Finally, we got to our room. It was very clean and smelled good. The bed was very comfortable & relaxing. Great pillows & down comforters. The bathroom was a little small, but good. It just took a while for the hot water to work in the shower. Room temperature was great. Serive was Great & they had delivery food up to 3:00 am Then they had breakfast in the morning till 11:00am. I would definatly stay again & tell people about my experience!!

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 18Good room for the money, except for room's acoustics.
The location is very good. Really near from French Quarter, but not inside it, so that you won't be disturbed by its humming. The only problem is that the acoustics of the room is so bad that it seems that there is somebody else in it. Every little noise in the corridor and neighbor rooms are heard. It disturbed a lot during the night and early in the morning. We coudn't sleep very well. I think the fee didn't include room service, because no one went there to clean the room. There was also a broken chair in the room.

It was a great hotel! The price was outstanding, and the staff was extremely friendly. They are located two blocks from Bourbon Street. There is a restaurant on site and cheap parking. When I got back, I WILL stay there again!!!

Trip Type: Romance Review 12 of 18Great room for the money
This hotel was one block from the French Quarter and one block from the street car stop. It was very central to everything we wanted to see, so it was great for us. The hotel was under renovation, but our room (and floor) were well maintained and clean. It was definitely a no frills room, but well worth what we paid, since we were traveling on the cheap and didn't spend much time in the room anyway! We didn't have any noise problems, because we didn't see anyone else staying in the hotel until the day we checked out. There is a restaurant on the lower floor, but we had so many others we wanted to visit, we did not eat there. We would definitely stay there again!

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 18EXCELLENT Choice!
Perfect Location! In distance of almost everything!! At the beginning of the night we walked to the Arena to see Van Halen in Concert! YEAH!! It took about 10 minutes walking. Afterwards, we walked back to the hotel then headed to Bourbon for some fun! That walk was about 5 minutes...or at least that's what I remember ;) The room was Awesome! Small, yes, but most of those places are in New Orleans. The shower was big, we also had a nice plasma screen tv, and free internet! The bed's more comfy than my own, I desperately want one more night in it!! Thanks Baronne! YOU ROCK!!

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 18Great Location, Clean, Good service, Quiet, Cheap!
My husband and I booked a room for the night the day before we went to New Orleans. We were planning on going to some parades and going out down Bourbon Street. The hotel was 2 blocks from Bourbon/Canal street. The only bad thing is limited parking space. We used Valet parking overnight at a nearby location for $25. The people at the desk were very friendly and assured us if anything was wrong, we would be taken care of. The hotel was very quiet and had a quiet ambience about it. The room was an opk size, but we weren't really spending time in there, just sleeping in the bed. No problems with comfort of the bed or anything with the bathroom. This is the same thing you get at other hotels but alot cheaper. I'll definately stay here again! Also on the hotel website it had a minimum number of days but hotels.com let me book it for 1 night!
