Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 24Better than I expected
I had read bad reviews about this hotel and was anxious as to what I would find, but the overall condition and cleanliness surprised me. The parking was an unexpected (and somewhat costly) expense - approximately $60.

Trip Type: Business Review 2 of 24Exceeded my expectations
After reading reviews about this hotel, I was a little skeptical, but it seemed like all the hotel reviews for the area were pretty poor. I was very pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the room. There was construction in the front entrance, but I was expecting that from reading reviews. I couldn't hear any excessive noise from inside my room. The front desk people weren't overly friendly, but they were helpful in answering my questions. The location isn't wonderful, but I felt okay walking around at night by myself. I went for a low-priced hotel and it exceeding my expectations.

Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 24Hotel with future potential
The hotel lobby was under contruction and did not reflect in the pictures advertised. Parking was in the basement and slightly inconvient. Exit and entering the garage you had to call the front desk to raise the gate.

Trip Type: Business Review 6 of 24Softest bed you ever want to sleep on
The rooms are great. The beds are very soft. They were doing construction at the property but the staff was nice. I will stay there agail

Trip Type: Business Review 7 of 24Interior rooms
The interior facing rooms bother me as you can't open the curtains for privacy reasons. this forces you to sleep in a total blackout. Also, the newly refurbished rooms are miles better than the old. I asked for a new room because they had just fumigated the room assigned to me and I couldn't breathe. The location is great, but the lobby is very old, dated and with no character whatsoever. The staff was very helpful in getting me to a much nicer room.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 24Just O.K.
Our air conditioner quit working on the 2nd night there. They did fix it the next day but it made for a long night. I read that they had "undergone" a remodel online. They didn't mention that it was ongoing. There were mattresses in the lobby....Overall, not bad for the price paid but I have stayed in nicer places.

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 24Location Good, Condition Rough
The fourth floor carpeting was torn up and as such the main access to the elvators was roped off with yellow caution ribbon. The walls were relatively thin as well as I was on the receiving end of the couple next door's passion at 12:00 AM Sunday morning. Cheap, clean, decent location of Canal newar Bourboun St., under renovation, but you get what you pay for.

Trip Type: Business Review 11 of 24Very nice hotel
The Baronne Plaza is a very comfortable hotel located one block from the French Quarter. It's clean and quiet. I stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms facing the street and I enjoyed it tremendously. It was extremely convenient to the French Quarter. There is one odd thing about the hotel's layout that guests should know about-not all of the rooms have windows that face the exterior of the building. Quite a few of the rooms have windows that face the interior of the building. There is an open area in the center of the building and the rooms face the open interior area. I was, at first, put in one of these rooms and felt extremely claustrophobic. I went to the front desk and asked for another room and the desk clerk was very accommodating. It was $10 more per night to have a room that had an exterior window, but it was worth it to me.

Unhelpful staff, dirty rooms, there were noisy guest in neighboring rooms and front desk would not do anything about it. So called valet parking for $20 was a joke had to call on my cel phone to front desk so they open the garage "what if you don't have a cel phone". Left baby toy on the bed and housekeeper left note that would not make bed if there are personal objects on bed "so if you happen to leave a sock on the bed they could theoretically not make your bed". Last day I was in a course and nobody would help my wife with our one year old put the things in the car because and had to be out by 11 am. They didn't let her wait for me. Otherwise they would make us pay. I went to this place based on reviews and felt completely misled and ripped off. Even the out motel on our drive back home was 10 times nicer than this dump. Only advantage is the location. Good for people looking to crash when partying in New Orleans
