Roomy Comfort

The Churchill has the feel of a small Old World style hotel. It is on the beaten path, right near several embassies and shopping, but it's interior is so quiet that it feels like it's off the beaten path. The rooms are very spacious for an urban hotel, and the beds are very comfortable. There is an in-room mini refrigerator well disguised in a beautiful cabinet. Everything was quite clean and tidy. The only complaint is that more attention should be given to the updating or maintenance of the tub/shower area of the bathroom. If you drive, the parking area out front is difficult to negotiate.

Great Hotel for the money

I was very pleased with the Churchill. The room was comfortable with the right amenities. The location was also very good, being close to the subway/metro. Also the Chef over the restaurant, made outstanding meals. I was very please. The price $$$, but food very good quality.

Overall, good place to stay

The Churchill Hotel was, overall, a nice place to stay. The staff was helpful, the room was comfortable and clean, and it was very quiet. The only downsides were the slow elevators (somewhat to be expected considering the age of the building) and some difficulty in monitoring the room temperature. Other than that, the stay was great...I would recommend it and would stay again.

Comfortable and good location

We booked at 2-room deluxe suite to accommodate our two children, but the rollaway bed we requested in advance was not provided so one of them had to sleep on the floor. Other than this, it was a very nice comfortable hotel, close to restaurants and metro.

Nice room

The room was nice. Very clean and convenient. Concereige did NOT follow up with a request for a rental for a handicap scooter. I was very disappointed to not have complimentary Wifi service, and couldn't access the pay service, which @ $9.95/ day was expensive. Overall I liked the hotel and would stay there again.

Good room for the 50% off price

The room was cold and the heat did not work. We placed a call to the lobby who sent a maintenance person up to address the issue, which he did quickly. I'm not sure what setting needed to be adjusted and why it wasn't already set for heat in the winter, but they resolved the problem quickly. The junior suite had an odd set up with the other room being half mini bar and half office, about the size of a large closet. The bathroom was very small.
