Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 18good location, good breakfast, but needs improvement
We traveled to Toronto to celebrate our first anniversary. We picked the hotel for the location to the metro and the complimentary breakfast. The room was like a mini apartment. Unfortunately, the shower knob did not work, so it was replaced. And then it broke at the first usage. One day they forgot to clean the room. We would still recommend the hotel to others, but it needs improvement on the maintenance of the rooms.

The Hotel needs maintenance, the carpets are old, you can see everything is used and a little bid old. Overall we had a nice Stay. The Breakfast is good. The inside pool very nice. The rove top hot tub is perfect, its the best part of the hotel. It is only a 7 min walk to the Dundas Street Subway station. The free shutle works only on weekdays. Parking is an extra $21 per day.

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 18Unbelievable value, outstanding selection
This place far exceeded our expectations from the lobby and check in area to the room to the bar to the breakfast. The roof top hot tubs and movie screen were out of this world. What a view and peaceful setting in the heart of anywhere you want to walk or commute. The staff was outstanding and helpful from directions to suggestions for our first trip to Toronto. There is no question we will stay here again!

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 18Honeymoon at the Grand
We had a great time at the Grand. The staff was very personable and had a great knowledge of the city! The complimentary breakfast buffet was amazing and included a wide variety of fresh food. It is really hard to give an accurate description of the atmosphere at the Grand, there really aren't words to do it justice. The rooftop jacuzzi's are fabulous and the view is gorgeous (especially at night). Our only wishes for change would be better mattresses and a adult only curfew for the roof(We would have enjoyed a little less time with other peoples kids). We are looking forward to staying again:)

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 18The Grand is great!
My wife and I absolutely loved this place and greatly enjoyed our stay. The room comfort and rooftop (and room) view were outstanding, as were the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, who were present and attentive when needed and unobtrusive when they weren't. We also got a fabulous price. We'll be back!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel clean. The gym was one of the best I have seen in a hotel, we had the entire room to ourselves. With in walking distance of everything in down town Toronto.

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 18Needs some work
The hotel itself was very beautiful. The pool was nice, and the rooftop hot tubs were a lot of fun. However, do not even bother to book anything at the spa. We called the front desk to ask where the spa was, and they were not even aware they had one. The "spa" was a small room off of the health club. I booked a pedicure for my fiance and myself, and it was an absolute joke. We sat in this room and had our feet rubbed for ten minutes. All for the low price of $48.00! Also, the hotel neglects to tell you that there is a $22.00 daily charge for parking. You get that surprise at the end of your stay.

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 18Expensive
The hotel was nice, but a good walk from downtown. We had to pass some "shady" areas to reach Dundas Square - several bums were in our path. I thought a hotel of this price would be closer to the action, and allow us complimentary parking. Too expensive for what you got.

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 18Great place at a great price!
We first discovered The Grand by chance, shortly after they opened. Very glad we did. It's a great place to stay with kids or on an "adults only" getaway. The rooms are excellent and very clean. The rooftop patio with hot tub and video screen delighted the kids. The pool are is lovely and beautifully decorated, though I should mention that it wasn't as amazing pristine and splendidly maintained as during our last stay. ( I had to go searching about in the changing area to find any towels...). Still very nice though. The hotel is in a neighborhood that's in the rather early stages of gentrification ( It ain't Yorkville...) and it's a block or two walk to the trolley or subway, but parking is conveniently right below the hotel. I'd highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is just a few blocks from the Yonge street and offers a breathtaking view of downtown Toronto. The rooms are very recently remodeled and look fantastic albeit on the small side. A family with kids would probably feel cramped, but it's perfect for couples or singles. Breakfast was excellent as well.

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 18Nice spot in Toronto
The hotel was, as stated, centrally located in the busy part of town. It is two blocks from the Eaton Centre and Yonge Square. However, the only decent restaurant is Fran's (a 24 hour Denny's kind of place). The really good restaurants were by the water, a $10 cab ride. We were given a smoking room when requesting a non-smoking. The staff was very friendly, the buffet breakfast was amazing and the hot tub on the roof over looking the city blew us away. It is the perfect hotel for a weekend get away with your honey.

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 18outstanding hotel
This hotel was very clean, very impressive, and it had many extras! The swimming pool and the room it is located in is absolutely beautiful. The rooftop saunas and the Toronto view are spectular. I recommend this hotel to everyone. My goodness they even provide you with bathrobes! The breakfast buffet is out of this world.
