Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 14Awful!!!!!!
Front desk was rude. Room was freezing and was scared to touch thermometer that it would quit working. Found a shoe from previous person in room. Paid for internet and didn't work. Parking is a joke, I mean a big joke. It sucked. It was a roach motel without the roaches.

Trip Type: Family Review 4 of 14great for the money
The Hotel is in a great location, but, the desk staff need a course in customer service. The attitude was not good. It is a nice Hotel, we have been there before, parking is offered, which is good, but the staff needs to brush up on their customer service. Be prepared to question the extra charges at the end. Otherwiswe, we had a great time and would stay here again.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 14The mediocre hotel in the perfect place
The biggest troubles were parking and noise. The parking place "they recommend" is few blocks away, you also must pay some extra for it. Now noise: don't take the room on he top floor - looks like they have a HUGE fan for AC on the roof; it sounds like a subway train all night long. The room was clean, the bed was OK, I shouldn't complain. One thing was perfect - they have Vieux Carre' all around!

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 14Excellent value
We stayed in the hotel in April 2009. The location of the hotel in the middle of the French Quarter, one block off Bourbon Street, can not be beat. The hotel itself is very pleasant, nice courtyard with a small pool and blooming bushes, pleasant rooms. The building - elevator, corridors, walls - is well maintained and clean. There is a parking lot 2 blocks away and a charge of $15 to use it for 24 hours, with in and out privileges -- a real bargain in New Orleans terms. The continental breakfast is adequate and served in a pleasant dining room. Overall an excellent value.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 14Power Outage
Not the Hotel's fault, 3/4 of the French Quarter had 15 blown fuses and we had not electricity from 5:30pm til we left at 9:00am the next day. The hotel was not prepared for the outage (the did give each guest a glowstick) but they were very friendly and congeneal and very helpful with whatever they were asked for. The place was charming and would have been very enjoyable with electricity. They also refunded (or will be) all the guests for the evening. We didn't ask for that, it was just given. I think that was a stellar example of customer service.

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 14Needs impovement
Need to have the continental breakfast out at the times listed so people who have to take medications etc can be accommadated. Also, called to get a new light bulb for the lamp and had to go down to the desk the next day to pick one up. It was not the bulb but the lamp and told them and nothing done.

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 14Horrible service, rude employees
This place is a DUMP! It is falling apart, there are cracked tiles, broken doors, missing shutters, open wiring in the hallways...in short, this place is a deathtrap. It took hours for our rooms to become ready. They lost our reservations. The desk clerk very obviously hates her job, because she is a sour, dour, mumbling grouch. The manager, when he could be reached, was clueless. There were no light bulbs in the lamps. They forgot to put toilet paper in the room when they 'cleaned' it. The room telephones did not work. As such, there was no room service. We couldn't stay in touch with our other family who was also on site. I would not stay here again if it were the only indoor bed left in town. I'd rather camp out.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 14The room was great . . .parking sucked!
We found our room to be clean and comfortable, more than adequate for our needs. Parking was a sheer nightmare. Off site parking was mandatory. Our Clerk gave us the wrong address of the parking garage. Had to make several trips between hotel and parking areas to resolve this situation.

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 14Needs Improvement...Incompetent Personnel
Hotel was an overall disappointment. The rooms need repair and the reception help seemed very incompetent or maybe just didn't care about their job. The bathroom in our room had a broken or cracked sink, the shower valve was broken and the thermostat was hard wired to only on/off, unable to control temperature. The location is good but the wear and tear on the actual hotel is showing. Very little has been maintained and for the price we paid, probably not worth the cost.
