Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 189Great to stay off the strip
Friendly hotel staff, restuaraunt and casino workers, lot's of food choices, convenient shuttle to the strip, Tropicana RTC stops adjacent, budget rental car across the street, 70 lane bowling alley...and georgeous sunrises out the window...plus a dynamite pool. Let's see...we think a great choice!

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 189Off-strip but convenient shuttle service to the strip
The rooms at the Orleans are very spacious and comfortable, especially for the price. The French Market Buffet was also very good. Friday night was Seafood Night and the highlight of the buffet was the Alaskan King Crab legs. My husband and I really enjoyed the pool area which had a large heated jacuzzi in addition to a large pool. The Orleans is located off of the strip, but the hotel provided convenient shuttle service to the strip every 15 to 20 minutes all day.

We live here in Vegas, and love to stay at the Orleans just to get away from everyday normal life.

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 189Great room for the costs
If you like to gamble, this is a pretty good place to play. For BJ, if you want to play two hands, you only pay the min per hand, whereas other casinos make you double the bet for each...i.e. $5/hand, at Orleans, you can bet $5 each hand, whereas other places you'll have to bet $10 each hand. Room was nice, although the fire alarm went off at 6:00 a.m. and they didn't hear it or know about it until I had to call down. I'm sure it was a false alarm, but when you get in at 3 a.m. and fall asleep, you don't want to be woken by an alarm at 6 a.m. The upside to that is if there was a fire, my butt would have been woken up and I would've been out of there.

Trip Type: Romance Review 10 of 189great room for the money!
We stayed at The Orleans for 5 nights. The room was huge compared to others in Vegas and it was CLEAN! The hotel is great. We got coupons at check-in for food, drinks and gambling. There is a food court with reasonably priced meal options (Subway, Fuddruckers, Sbarro & Baskin Robbins) plus there is a TGI Fridays in the hotel. This hotel is off of the strip so convenience could be an issure for some. There is a free shuttle to Gold Coast (off strip by the Palms) and to Tropicana. The shuttle was great- we never waited more than 15 minutes for it to show up. From the Tropicana you can go across the street to MGM Grand and catch the monorail. You can also catch the bus to get to the other end of the strip and back. Cab fare to the strip was outrageous! Highly recommend this hotel- it is a locals hotel/ casino the prices are better and the casino was decent too.

The Orleans charges a mandatory daily fee for having a phone, coffee pot, fitness center available to use.

Trip Type: Romance Review 12 of 189Very Nice Hotel
The hotel was clean and quiet, a bit off the strip but that's ok. The room was a very good size, (ours had one king bed) and was very quiet. The bed could have been a tad bit softer, but we still slept quite nicely. A small window (which opens) in the shower was a nice feature, also the water pressure was great, and hot water almost instantly. Has movie theaters and a bowling alley which we didn't have time to use, but was a nice feature. The food court had a few service bays that were open 24/7, I think they were Fudruckers (which delivers to your room), and Subway. Some of the others were open until the wee hours of the morning also. We would definetely stay here again.

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 189One of my Favorite Hotels!
I've been to many different Hotels in Las Vegas, but I'm very frugal about how much I spend. So my review will be more for those who want the most for their money. Here are my key points why I like this Hotel: 1. Inexpensive - Due to being off the strip, the pricing is much less than other Hotel/Casino's and it's ironic by how much, because I wouldn't say it's more than a mile off the strip. 2. Renovated - The 22 year old Hotel has been renovated 2x. The last being in 2004 and the place looks great. I thought it was new, but was surprised to find just how old it really was. 3. Liquor store - Ok this seems small, but this store has great prices on all their alcohol. If you been to other Hotels and bought booze, you'd know why this is great to have. 4. Al's Oyster Bar - This restaurant has great oysters, and great Clam Chowder, but I'd have to admit that I was less impressed with the Chowder the last time I went. I'm figuring it was due to a different chef. 5. Friendly People - This is almost signature to all Hotels, but there are some out there where the people are a little rude. Not here though, everyone's friendly and helpful. Ever since I lost Stardust hotel which I loved, so much for it's nostalgia, I was happy to find The Orleans. I don't need extraveganza in a room. All I need is just a nice place at a great price and this Hotel gave me all this. I hope my review helps some people out there. Matthew

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 189Great place for a great price
We went up to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary. The staff was wonderful and gave us a room with a wonderful view. The bathroom was a little dingy and the linens smelled like mildew. The staff did change the linens so it was much better. Definetly would stay there again. You can't go wrong with the price and the comfort of the hotel. The staff really makes the place. The proximity to the strip is great too.
