Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 26Free Reward Stay
Rooms were small as was bathroom. The beds were two doubles and they didn't leave much space to move around between then. Amenities were nice and it is a great location. Ate all meals in restaurant hotel and food was good if a little overpriced. the bar was crowded noisy and had very little seating. we had to get our own drinks from the bar. paid $50 nonrefundable fee for our dog and their website touts them as a very pet friendly hotel and each pooch gets his own personal water bowl and doggie zaza snack. they never appeared. i didn't say anything at the time but plan on emailing hote management.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 2 of 26Great Place
The ZaZa was a very classy place that had a friendly staff and nice clean rooms. The parking was a bit overpriced but then again it was not more than I would have expected coming from such an upscale hotel.

I stay in various hotels around the country on a monthly basis and I fell in love with Zaza.. It's hip and comfortable and the staff is very pleasant. The hotel bar Monarch has an amazing Sunday brunch as well.I highly recommend Zaza... Bob from Los Angeles

Beautiful setting, beautiful renovation to this exquisite old landmark, very nice attention to service. Not recommended for those who don't care to have nude art and photography blatantly staring them in the face!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 7 of 26Very nice hotel
No complaints here...Hotel had great contemporary style in the rooms and throughout the hotel. Ordered room service for breakfast and it arrived on time and was good. Did not get to use it, but the pool area looked like a great place to spend an afternoon.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 26Loved it!
Beautifully furnished rooms and very comfortable beds. Loved the pool area, sadly didn’t have enough time to fully enjoy it. Nice little workout room and they provide free headphones, water and fruit for your enjoyment. Excellent location, right in the heart of the Museum District. You are within easy walking distance of several museums. Cabs are readily available and the light rail line runs right by the hotel. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Overall a very nice experience! I’d stay here again.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 11 of 26Move over, W, here comes ZaZa!
If Hotel ZaZa's goal is to present its guests with a hotel that's unlike any other, they have definately succeeded. ZaZa features an eclectic elegance that is hip and modern while maintaining total comfort. At every turn while walking through the hotel, we were amazed and delighted at the entertaining selection of art adorning the walls of the hallways and elevators. Our room was absolutely gorgeous. The bed was super-comfortable, the bathroom very spa-like, and the decor of the room--like the rest of the hotel--hip without losing total ease and comfort. And the location in the heart of Houston's Museum District is perfect--whether you're a museum fanatic, want to take a stroll through the Japanese Gardens in gorgeous Hermann Park, go to the zoo, or hop the Metro Rail and ride downtown to hang out at the clubs. The customer service at Hotel ZaZa was phenomenal. The staff was friendly and accomodating. Everyone seemed relaxed and happy, which translates into good service, as well as the overall mood of the hotel. We actually live in town and made reservations at Hotel ZaZa to have sort of a spa "staycation" for a couple of days. We will definately do it again! (While the waiting/relaxation area in the spa leaves a lot to be desired, the treatments we received were top-notch and more than made up for any other faults!)

Trip Type: With Friends Review 12 of 26Great Service
So I wanted to plan something last minute... I looked at Hotels.com and saw the rate and was like wow... My Girlfriend loves the hotel so we went.. No bags, No Personal Items.. No Nothing.. Upon arrival I tried to go to the bar with jeans on and a pair of classic chuck taylors and was denied due to my shoes(Which I thought was lame but everyone has rules)... So the Concierge went in for me and bought my Saphire and Tonic.. Later in the day our friends came over to join us and we partied hard.. The door man gave in and let me in the bar with my sneakers.... (shout out to the door man) To close out the night we use the complimentary car service and went to Pravada(Lame and Boring to me) but the driver was awesome picks up right back up.. Took us to get something to eat and a mexican rest... and we partied hard.. The night was perfect.. Thanks ZAZA

Trip Type: With Friends Review 13 of 26late night party next door
On Saturday night the suite at the end of the hall had a loud party that spilled out into the hallway. It lasted until after 1pm. I complained to the manager but there was little that they did. It was too late to move my room so I just suffered. Otherwise the hotel was outstanding. Make sure you do not stay near the outer hallways if you do not plan to stay in the suite.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 14 of 26Perfect Location for "Doing" the Art Scene in Houston
The hotel is located in the heart of the art museum district. We spent a couple of days just enjoying the ease of walking across the street to immerse ourselves in a fantastic art collection.
