Trip Type: Special Event Review 4 of 49Fantastic!
I loved this one-room suite! Fold-away bed left plenty of space for entertaining. Washer, dryer, dishwasher, fridge...I wish I could have stayed more nights. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I only wish there was parking other than valet.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 5 of 49Amazing stay....
My girlfriend and I had an amazing stay days 6 stay at this hotel. Only things I could change would be having Wifi in the room instead of the one single cord and if the cost of parking was included in the price but those are very minor things and over all, I would stay at 1 King West again next time I got back to Toronto on vacation.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 9 of 49great location
I used to live in Toronto, and have since stayed at many hotels there. This one was new to me, and very good experience. $40 per day parking and $10 per day wireless fee (why???) make it less of a bargain than it initially seems.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 10 of 49Great hotel
We were very satisfied with our stay at this hotel. The location is excellent - very convenient to downtown locations with access to the subway and PATH right from the hotel (considering we were there during a snowstorm, this was convenient). The room was on a higher floor and on the end; it offered expansive views of downtown and the lake. It was surprisingly quiet - hotel rooms are often noisy but our room was very quiet. The kitchenette was a nice feature. The fitness room was better than most found in hotels (variety of cardio equipment and free weights) plus a nice view. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The valet parking fee seems a little steep but we knew this in advance and used the hotel service as a matter of convenience, even though we didn't need a car during our stay.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 11 of 49good value
I think this hotel is good value for the money. It's not suitable for people who want luxury, but for anyone in the mid-range it's a great fit. Right in the business district, and would be excellent for a businessman, since rooms are appointed with cooking equipment and washing machines. The bathroom was OK; could use a bit of spiffing up. I would stay there again, but might also choose a 'hipper' neighborhood when I go back to Toronto.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 12 of 49Nice size room, good view, great location, attentive staff, but has its quirks
The hotel looks nice and the room was a good size, however, a couple of things caused us to not want to stay again. First, we stayed the weekend after the US Thanksgiving, so it was cold outside. The room was warm, but the air quality was very dry and we would wake up with headaches in the morning. Next, if you expect to reach your room quickly, then this is not the place where you want to stay. While the lobby is beautifully appointed, the elevators are very s-l-o-w and you will have to wait downstairs and on your floor for one to finally come. Another thing is that since we were only staying 2 nights, we didn't need our room to be serviced and left our passports, laptops, etc in the room and put a "do not disturb" sign on the door. However, she came in anyway and took away the towels we had carefully rehung (if we wanted service and to have them replaced they hotel asks that we put them in the tub...) Lastly, it has a wonderful little kitchenette, but we used the dishes/silverwear and discovered that there wasn't any dish soap to be found. We found out later that apparently you can ask the front desk, and for a nominal fee, you can go downstairs and get a small portion. One last thing to note, parking is not cheap and going one block south to a garage the hotel refered us to, meant having to pick the car up at 6am or the garage asks you to pay the next days full price. We just feel that for the price, there are other hotels that would leave us feeling better and also be in a good location.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 13 of 49Luxurous room, great value!
The room was outstanding with all the amenities including a clothes washer and dryer. Quality furniture, a fireplace,a kitchenette right out of a kitchen magazine and a comfortable king size bed made our stay one of luxury and comfort. Its location near many restaurants and the subway was ideal.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 14 of 49GREAT LOCATION
Great location. Within walking distance to most things, and the subway station is literally across the street. There is NO parking, however. For 2 days, it cost $64 to park downtown and we found out that that was considered cheap!
