Hotel Madera - a Kimpton Hotel

Nice Value. Not lavish but, great for th business traveler

The hotel was acceptable, not a lavish find but a great price for a clean, updated environment.

Great location, near metro, elegant, small hotel

This hotel is two blocks from the Dupont Circle metro on a residential street. The rooms are decorated nicely and are comfortable. The bathrooms are small, but are fine for one person. Could be a bit tight for two. Hotel has in room system for ipod and a big flat screen tv. Internet was complimentary too! Good value hotel. Hotel supports good causes both environmental and charitable. No work out room, but complimentary wine, coffee, and cookies!

Feels like coming home!

Was greeted by the staff each and every time I arrived. The manager knew my name and went out of her way to be helpful. Would come back here in a heartbeat. Maybe I shouldn't brag so much, just in case they are full when I want to visit. LOL

Going Beyond

The staff really went beyond expecxtations to arrange a dinner on the balcony. They were quite attentive to every need.

Expensive parking

Friendly and comfortable. Extremely expenisve for parking!

Exceeds Expectations

I was completely impressed by this hotel. The staff really make the guests feel like they're at home. Free wine at 5 and cookies and milk at 10 was a great treat. I've never stayed at a Kimpton hotel before, but will seek one out next time I travel. The price through Hotels.com was a big bonus too.

Great hotel in convenient location

I have stayed at this hotel twice and love it. The lobby is simple and small, but don't let that keep you from staying at the hotel. The rooms are great. Good size and comfortable. And the staff is very customer service oriented- very friendly and helpful. I plan to stay here on future visits, as well.

Nice hotel

The hotel is very nice. The staff is very curtious and pleasant. My only complaint was that my room faced the back of the hotel where the garbage cans are located. On several occassions I was awakened by the sound of 100's of glass bottles being dumped into a large steel bin. I am glad they recycle but it would be nice if perhaps the bins were not right under the windows. I stayed two nights and it happened about 6 different times.

good place

Not always the cheapest, but an excellent location with an excellent staff and a very pleasing facility. Kudos to the night staff and their cookies too.
